Asif, I was in India last year around this time and spent 2 months around the country. I agree with your assessment on hotels, costing upward of $300-$400. However, I would have to argue that this is a period of weddings is India. Apart from Bangalore, where there is a shortage of hotels I don't think any other big city in India would warrant a increase of hotel rates as I saw. In general prices are inflated and I would think there would be a correction and would be cautious !!
On the contrary I would say the Indian real estate market has gone up drastically in the past 2-3 years. I doubt one will see the same returns in real estate what we have seen in the past 2 years.
