  • Ford Motor: No Doubt, This 4.5% Yielding Income Stock Is Now On Sale [View article]
Let's wait for Sept. sales for Europe , China and the U.S. , and what happens this month with the new union contract. No doubt China will be down, but, if everything else falls in place, F should move up to at least 15.50 which by the way still makes F a great value!

  • Apple's Issues In China: More To Do With Currency Than Fundamentals [View article]
How in the heck does anyone really know what is going on in China. I too am an Apple bull , but with China being so critical to Apple's success , I now have my doubts on Apple being able to overcome a situation that they have no control over. Apple selling at a P.E. of somewhere around 12 is just plain silly, but that is what the market feels it is worth. Fair, heck no, but that is the reality of this crazy market! Buy now, sell now, or go to Las Vegas, Blackjack , if you know what you are doing you odds are a little less than 50% of winning.

  • Tech stocks setting up for dismal day [View news story]
Let's face reality, no one really knows what will happen in China and unfortunately China is very important to Apple's long term success. Forget what the Fed will or won't do in the near term it really does not matter. Like it or not Apple is very dependent on the Chinese consumer and anyone who can accurately predict what will happen in that market would be better served by being at a craps table in L.V. By the way I am a bull regarding Apple.

  • Ford's July Provides A Nice Surprise [View article]
regarded solutions , your comments are right on,except that China contributes even less than 25 %. Remember they have a 50% partner in China. Also , on the plus side labor and material cost will go down 2% equal to devaluation. Time for market to be fair to Ford!!!!!!!!

Interesting to see how the market will over- react to China's devaluation of their currency.

  • Continued Bullish Ford F-150 News Supports Our Bull Case [View article]
Here is the real issue, how are the new F 150 's selling and at what transaction price along with incentives? If these numbers are strong (incentives small), whether it's 2 to 4 months, F will correct production issues and stock should react accordingly. Also , if these numbers are strong , how soon before other manufacturers decide to convert and what happens to their sales during plant closures. If new F 150's are "the right product" , F stock should soar!

  • To What Extent Will iPhone Shipments Grow Next Year? [View article]
I hope you are right with your target price, but the reality is China is Apple's most important market and with the uncertainty going on there, no one really has a handle on Apples continued growth in that market. No question the market is over reacting to the downside, but isn't that always the case with Apple?

  • Ford: Profitability Will Drive The Stock Price [View article]
What is the long term, 2 years , 4 years, 6 years who knows what will happen. If the market cannot see the great progress F has already made and give any credit for what is happening with the successes of the new products why do you think it the future it will get any better. Look at what management said on Tuesday , the new F 150, the bread and butter of the company, is doing very well and we will be at full inventory levels in Sept. Our other new products are exceeding expectations. Ford's profits blew away expectations. Yet the stock rallied slightly to around $15.20 and then fell back to $14.83. The stock pays over a 4% dividend, what gives. Ah, perhaps the market is concerned about the new labor contract, ok, I'll give the market that uncertainty, but when a new contract is reached next month and if sales continue to do well , the horizon for the stock to be in the $18 to $20 range is by the end of this year. 2 years- 4 years don't be silly your crystal ball is not that good, the time is now!

  • Hacking concerns take center stage in automobile industry [View news story]
jeremy , there is no reason for F to be down 2%. Sales in China are profitable at current levels, this issue was addressed at earnings conf. Unless there is a sharp downturn the rest of the year, China should remain profitable. The only reason that comes to mind is if on Monday F announces poor F 150 sales for July and that should not happen given managements comments on Tuesday. Is something "fishy" going on at F ????? Best quarter in 15 years, new products selling great, Europe close to profitability, cash on hard much improved, 4%+ dividend , ave car in U.S. over 11 years old; what gives?

  • Ford Motor: Robust Earnings Growth Could Translate Into Rating Upgrades In H2 2015 [View article]
ford selling at $15 is just outright wrong. I guess people look at F and say Yes, you are doing just fine and yes when the new F 150 is fully available you will be doing even better and yes it appears your 2nd biggest market Europe will contribute dollars very soon and yes China is slowing down but you still make a lot of money there and yes your new models are doing well but wait: you are losing money in South America, darn we have to keep the stock as soon as S.A. turns it could go up to 16. F should be $17.50 today!!!!!

  • Ford: Don't Worry About The F-150 Discount [View article]
This was a well thought out article and I believe you are spot on with your comments. Hopefully Fields will tell us this Tuesday what we should expect for the rest of the year. By the way if he dwells on Lincoln , he should be fired.
