Will Google End Up Merging With Apple? [View article]
I...don't think Google will be merging with Apple anytime soon. Two completely different organizations, with different strategies and goals, albeit with one common competitor in Redmond, WA.
eBay: Coming Up Short in a Bull Market [View article]
I don't think blog posts play as big a part in Ebay's movement in the last five months, as much as say, institutions moving it around by the value of their own metrics. Just a guess.

I'm curious as to what approach MS will take with the acquisition. Given aQ's impressive numbers, I would suspect something along the lines of hands off, but I just don't know if this without out some finesse in the web-arena that MS has yet to manifest, won't be bulldozed by the GOOG juggernaut in the coming years.
Are Hedge Funds a Risk to the System? The Proof is in the Provenge [View article]
When you have a sizable amount of equity in the hands of fewer and fewer institutions, the chance occurrence of a position going bad and bringing down the house, increases. Whether or not this manifests and brings down a few more firms in the coming years remains to be seen, but typically after a couple of well documented cases in which this has occured, I would think there are a few more safeguards in place that such a event does not transpire.

Katie,
Right now when viewing through the discussion threads, it would be nice to be able to customize how many discussions I can view on a single page (as opposed the standard 10), and perhaps would be beneficial for the higher moderated (5 star) discussions to be added on the right hand side. Thus, when trying to wade through all the threads that I've missed in a day, it would be easier for the user to focus on the discussions that were deemed more valuable by other users. I feel that narrowing the width of the original column displaying all the discussions, (offset by implementing more the option of viewing more discussions per page) along with the current chart + higher moderated discussions in a second column on the right hand side, would add significant value to the user experience.
