  • Power Up Your Portfolio With Uranium [View article]
It is a good idea but if there is a huge bull on uranium its not like we can protect ourselves from overbought leveraged ETFs by buying uranium from bullions. I don't have much know how about this, though.

  • Shorting the Gold Bubble [View article]
Ubelievable. This author is trying to get a pullback reaction out of this article so he can buy more gold I bet. He got one thing right - fear and more specifically uncertainty is what is making the gold and silver bull so reliable. It will for another few years! The US is not even close in stabilizing the economy. Someone should write an article how Gold is undervalued!!

GM bail out was the best thing that happened for American business. Health care is MORAL. If you just follow other successful EUROPEAN (not the british) models maybe you could cut costs. You are looking at the wrong side of the coin. Yes there are costs but they are necessary and once the government gets its models right they will be efficient systems. Little government does no good for anyone its a FACT!!! How many times to I have to state this? The best standards of living are in the countries where taxes and governments are up in your face 24/7. Its like I am dealing with Alcoholics in denial.

  • The Recession Is Over, Now Where Are the Jobs? [View article]
technology vs jobs. Is technology anti-business? No. mundane and low skilled Jobs are. Better universal education is the answer to provide for a transition of the unemployed to high-skilled sector. More engineers and scientists does wonders for an economy. Technology and Education can free people from being enslaved into shitty jobs.

if you look at unemployment trends around the world, the rates once changed are here to stay for a decade or two. Europe has always had high rates, US had a period of high rates then low and now its back to high. I agree with above comment.

  • Investing in Cotton: The New King of Commodities [View article]
Can we get more exposure to developing cotton producers that are penny but "about-to-be" booming stocks? Like are there plays similar to the junior precious metal and rare earth mining industries?

The best speculative play alongside Rare Earths is THORIUM as others have mentioned. One company focused on the tech development of harnessing this element is Lightbridge! They are a publicly trade company, I would jump on its shares.

Ain't No Fortune Son, you got it absolutely right. It's like a back and forth brain drain trend going on. It would be truly inspiring if this could occur among African students, alas corruption has not yet ceased in the developing areas. Hopefully it will one day. Although I support liberal arts as a first year course to let students "find themselves", it should be effective in pushing students into more specialised fields. I'll say it and say it again the US needs technocrats!! I study in the UK and the amount of film and photography degrees handed out each year is ridiculous. These fields should be extremely competitive and limited so that universities can pump out truly dedicated and talented individuals and not wasted degrees , no offence to anyone.

I am so glad we have several people like you arguing for morality and logic. I do not want to side with the democrats because of some ill made choices and the consequences of polarised politics, but Obama is a decent president as you have stated! On a scale of one to ten, bush was at 0 and Obama is a 7 or 8. Never have I seen Bush on CNBC debate or other discussions on various networks arguing intelligibly for his policies. You know why? Because he was a dumb ass. That is the most appropriate use of the term (I apologise if anyone is offended by the term) but it LITERALLY describes that man.

OK... best social society... You are ignorant. Your public education is appalling - Americans on average do not even know that Europe is a continent. Your health care system is crap. Your Income gap is the biggest in the developed world. Your crime rate due to your ridiculous media, social inequalities, and gun laws are absurdly through the roof compared to the rest of the world. Your political institution is flawed to the core. Your religious fanatics have plagued the uneducated. You have more kooks that any other country combined! Economics is the only thing you HAD on your side and now the US is declining. Sorry but America is destined for an overhaul. It has to, to preserve its integrity.
