do not be too optimistic about AAPL. Remember Nokia, Notel, RIM. All these high tech stocks have their life span. It can be short and can be a little bit longer. I read some comments about Smartphone market in China. Chinese Smart phone maker, Xiaomi has been taking a lot market shares in China. If AAPL wants to have market share in China continue to grow, it may have to customize the product Chinese customer is looking for. Otherwise, the Chinese customers appreciation to AAPL smart phone can be dropped. The consequence will be the impact to stock market.

I am in Canada. There are two THIs around my working place. Earliest time I get to office is around 7:40 am. By that time, both places already have the line up, that will continue through out the whole day. These two THI, one is at food court, the other is at street. Right beside the street one, there A&W. A&W (burger and breakfast) barely has customer. I went to A&W once and find that breakfast price is very good. I could not understand why customer does not like it. This A&W was opened less than one year ago. I do not see it can survive too long.

RS, I really like your idea of retirement investment. I also agree with you that we do not need to leave money to our grow up kids. Instead of leaving more money for their life. What I did is to invest in the kids at their early staging, so they can have very good education and career. As parents, we will have less worry about their life. My kid made into medical school due to strong academic records. Right now on, I spent some money on the younger one for the eduction by find tutor for her. What I did is that whichever subject she is not good, then I will find her tutor. It is a lot cheaper than private. The outcome is a lot better than private school.

Regarding leaving the money to kids and wanting them have a better life. I have different opinion from you and would like to share with you what I think.
Instead of leaving the money to the kids, what I did is to invest the money today for their education and make sure they have a good education and career. Definitely they will have a good life. I already see the difference in my first child, now medical student. What I do with my other kid is to find her tutor and make sure she is really good for the school work and stay on the top. Even though, she is in the gifted program and reading is at grade 8/9 level, while she is grade 6 student, I still find her tutor for English and math. I hope is that she will get into a good school with a good career, then later on good income for the life
