Well, they do not have a right to hold themselves and their writers out as experts in the field if they have conspired to trash the stock for shady reasons. I think I have a right to be suspicious of their actions...and their obvious, deliberate attempts to try to scare away the Barry deal. Well, I would want to investigate their connections to the hedge funds, the way that these funds and others advertise with Barron's and why they have picked this company to focus on. They are not a traded company, but they do have a fiduciary duty to report in a responsible, and unbiased way, if they are not doing so, then they should rightly be discredited, and thrown to the wolves.

I agree with everyone very fine explanation of the debt issue at F. I think that Ford has done well during some very trying times...the key is to gain back it's position of prestige over the Japanese cars that were so much better build and longer lasting in the past. Perhaps Ford ought to do something innovative and out of the box with the American public to show that they are truly The American Darling Motor Company.
Very happy with my F stock think that this article is a perfect example of why you need to do your own due diligence. Who knows why people dis a perfectly good stock. They have their reasons for sure.

With this reasoning any stock paying a dividend is just less attractive. There are things that change this for the individual, for example you my have some losses that change this, or you could hold it in a IRA like most other dividend paying stocks..
