  • Linn Energy Faces Yet Another Bear Attack [View article]
You don't need to accuse them of anything, but you can wonder about there motives. For example, I am wondering how much money the hedge funds spend on advertizing in Barron's. It seems like there are so many stocks out there that could be written about, why does Barron's continue to rag on LINE? Just wondering.

  • Which High Yield Dividend Stocks To Avoid This Week [View article]
I am beginning to nibble at NMM as I think that shipping rates are bound to increase from current levels...and europe will recover this year. I agree however, not for the faint of heart.

Hmmm, my May Puts are expiring and I lost my shirt on them if thats all you look at, however my positions are in the solid green. However I wish that line LINE I was hedged through 2017.

I agree with you. These attacks seem to be self serving and I am wondering if Barron's is just unhappy because it is still wearing some egg on it's face, or is there a deeper financial interest here? Does Barrons have a financial interest in the hedge funds???

  • How To Spin Gold Into Cash [View article]
Yes, I like both of these very much. I am just quietly laughing about the silly business happing with LINE and it really does present an opportunity to add. However, I am fully exposed in energy so I would need to sell something...maybe BP where I have a small gain.

Important point missed...GGN can be used as a market hedge that also pays a dividend while your waiting. It does not trade lock step with the stock market and this makes it a very obvious option to buy when the market is at an all time high like now...and gold is in the dumps. It will rise again.

  • Angola LNG Project: BP And Chevron About To Ship LNG To Europe And Asian Markets [View article]
So I am thinking about adding to my BP position now. I may sell out of SU and LINE to do this but I am not sure...Do you think the worst is over for BP?...CVX is a much more expensive stock.

  • Should General Electric Spin Off GE Capital? [View article]
Would you cut your leg off if you had a cramp? No, you would exercise it and make it stronger. GE Capital has made significant contributions to the overall health of GE. Very fooling to cut it loose, in my opinion.

  • AT&T: 14% Return Year To Date, Now What? [View article]
More to my concern...is T worth the designation of a legacy or core holding. It is my top holding right now by valuation and any stock that I have that does not have a legacy holding needs to be sold given a 30% profit. I am very hesitant to designate ANY telecom stock as core. If you just review the history...these companies have not treated their stock holders kindly over time and they are almost always sugar coated. I am just not sure but perhaps I may sell 50% and work off of the profits.

  • Ford: 4 Reasons Why This Stock Is A Strong Sell [View article]
I am buying back into F for these reasons and because of its strong showing in China. F is beginning to shed the old production quality problems and now seems to be poised to make a strong showing during the US recovery.
