  • AT&T - Upside Potential Of 20% [View article]
gman...I have owned both but sold MO when it split. T is more volatile but gives a better div. MO is very solid and stable. If you can afford more risk and to T. A little diversification couldn't hurt.

  • Smaller General Electric Might Support Bigger Dividend [View article]
GE is one of my legacy holdings. If it spins off the financial I would need to rethink the position. Right now I am thinking that I would sell the Financial and keep the Business part. Does anyone else have thoughts about this?

  • When Will People Understand Ford's Debt? [View article]
I agree with everyone very fine explanation of the debt issue at F. I think that Ford has done well during some very trying times...the key is to gain back it's position of prestige over the Japanese cars that were so much better build and longer lasting in the past. Perhaps Ford ought to do something innovative and out of the box with the American public to show that they are truly The American Darling Motor Company.

  • 8.7% Dividend Payer Linn Energy Was Dissed At Ira Sohn - Is There Reason To Worry? [View article]
    I agree good informative information.

I would like to see what the relationship that these investment companies that are dissing LINE have with the major hedge funds. I think I am smelling a stinky fish here someplace, but I haven't found it yet. Why are the dissing LINE now? Didn't all the same concerns exist before, except that the company had one weak quarter?

  • Why I Bought Linn Energy 3 Months Ago And Still Like It [View article]
You are right...the shorts and Barron's are conspiring together to bring this stock down. Those with the moxy to hold will be rewarded.

  • Use Linn Energy To Build Income Now [View article]
With this reasoning any stock paying a dividend is just less attractive. There are things that change this for the individual, for example you my have some losses that change this, or you could hold it in a IRA like most other dividend paying stocks..

I am just saying that I am in LINE with profit money so it is all gravy.

  • Use Linn Energy To Build Income Now [View article]
Is there a better energy stock to transition into anyway? My rule says that no more than 15% of my portfolio should be in energy. Half of that is in LINE so, I am thinking of diversifying with the dividend. Perhaps a play on natural gas as the US transitions into an energy supplier rather than a user.

  • Use Linn Energy To Build Income Now [View article]
Frankly, I bought LINE some time ago...sold high and started to repurchase. Playing with the companies money is fun, especially when your collecting the dividend that this baby pays. I will buy on all dips!

  • Linn Energy Faces Yet Another Bear Attack [View article]
You don't need to accuse them of anything, but you can wonder about there motives. For example, I am wondering how much money the hedge funds spend on advertizing in Barron's. It seems like there are so many stocks out there that could be written about, why does Barron's continue to rag on LINE? Just wondering.
