Josh, don't you think that a cash dividend will tend to restore investor confidence and therefore increase the price of shares?

  • Cramer Dumps Linn, Should You? [View article]
So before the ink is dry...Berry is a mistake? This is an example of the short sighted stock traders mentality. That would be Cramer who is a shill and a fool's gamble.

  • Linn Energy: The Berry Deal Was A Mistake [View article]
The article is knee jerk reaction stuff. Would you really expect the Berry deal to be showing bottom line profits to the company so soon. Almost all acquisitions take some time to digest, but of course the typical stock trader hack doesn't have the patience to wait for a result. It is too early to make an assessment one way or another but if you are invested in LINE it doesn't hurt to take the 9% dividend while you wait to see.

  • Linn Energy Earnings Call Notes And Comments [View article]
I think it is a little early to say that. I myself have been trying to scoop up some more LINE in a way that lowers my net asset value when people have not even let the Berry deal start to digest. As I said where are the bears when you need them...those ratfink bears.

  • Is BP The Best Petroleum Firm To Invest In? [View article]
Just another novice that confuses company value with stock value. BP pays and will continue to pay a larger dividend and has more upside potential on the stock. It you just want to preserve your dollars - put them in a savings account. Stock is about risk/reward and that why BP has more stock appreciation potential.

  • Linn Effectively Admits To Misleading Investors And Announces Key Accounting Changes [View article]
Yes, if I add in the much maligned dividend I am now ahead...it was hard to buy on the disrespect they were giving this company however...and I think anyone that was long has a right to be disgusted by their ghoulish behavior.

  • BP: The Only Oil Major You'll Ever Need [View article]
I agree with you with the following exception. I feel LINE is an very strong companion to BP as a US play on energy. The US is and will become the strongest force in the world oil/gas markets, and it makes sense to have more skin in the game here. Also it pays a strong dividend which you can diversify by making additional BP acquisitions.
