  • Linn Effectively Admits To Misleading Investors And Announces Key Accounting Changes [View article]
You must be another hedgeye groupee. Where do you get the term "implicitly admitted". Not from the SEC is it? No it's from James's headline which is as "explicitly For example how do you reform "cash flows from acquisitions and divestitures? Cash is cash.

Did you miss something. Yes, you missed the opportunity to be honest and straight with all of us. So, are you still short LINE after all of this?

It happened to almost everyone who choose to take exception. I still think it was not above board behavior and I am now suspicious of James, SA and Hedgeye, not to mention Barron's. I wouldn't take any of there opinions with a grain of salt.

  • General Electric: The GE Capital IPO Should Provide A Short-Term Catalyst [View article]
An IPO and a spin off are two different things. A spin off might give me some shares in the new company, and IPO might not. Any thoughts about how this is going to unfold?

I really don't understand why this company doesn't bring a legal action against them for infringement of business interests. It was obviously intentional, malicious and without any business merit other than to scare investors so that they could capitalize on their short positions. I wonder what the statute of limitations is on this kind of stuff?

  • GE: All The Good News Is Priced In [View article]
GE is also my largest position with a 6.2% weight. I will add this spring if the market weakens. What I am not sure about is the GE Capital spin off. Will we be provided shares of this offering and if so should I sell and reinvest or keep both and allow for some additional diversification? When will we find out what GE intends to do here and how the will be taking care of their shareholders? The answer to these questions may determine if I really want to continue to buy this stock.

Well when GE Capital spins off I expect a jump in share value and a function of relief that GE will not be subject to banking issues. And if not, I am prepare to buy a boatload.

  • General Electric: 6% Yield And Nearly 30% Upside Potential [View article]
Yes but you are ignoring the fact that the issue may erode so badly that you might be facing a 50% loss (or more) if you unload early...this should be considered as well.

But a sale produces cash for the company in their bottom line, and it is not subject to market risk.

So GEK should go with the new spinoff company not GE, right?

  • The Federal Reserve Could Save Bank Of America From Being Dead Money [View article]
Look, sooner or later the fed will realize that housing will need to recover if we are to achieve a full recovery. This will not happen without a strong mortgage market...walla the banks with mortgage loan arms are there, and very much alive.

  • General Electric Should Be Broken Up; Here's What It Would Look Like [View article]
GE is a big premium company that would just be some of the numbers if it were to be split up. The company would loose all the stable stock holders that it has (like me). I could see some sense to spin off the GE Capital because finance is so different from most of the other businesses. More than that would be a mistake and the short term returns we might get would be offset by instability in most of the new companies.
