GE's Stock And Dividend Should Be Avoided [View article]
I have owned GE for some time as a core holding, only adding when the stock is significantly under priced. Right now the patient investor will hold. In many ways GE is a proxy for the US economy. Getting all bothered and jumping off on some speculative pumper seems silly. I am also suspicious of an article the bashes one bellwether company and touts a couple of shiny bubbles in the same breath. I do have a speculative investment section in my portfolio, and I could but will not take this dangling little morsel of bait. I would prefer to put spec money right now into HTGC which diversifies risk in the tec world and still gives a 8% plus div. If you want to bash GE fine, bash away. Just don't come crying back to the board when the shiny bubbles have popped.
Ford (F -0.1%) plans to move away with the retro look of its Mustang model with new versions as it attempts to boost sales to Generation Y buyers. Though the iconic car will retain its classic shark-nosed grille and round headlights, starting with the 2014 model year it will more closely resemble a Ford Fusion than the Mustang of yesteryear. To me, the classic Mustang is a forever car. Trying to make it into something it is not, is a mistake and a missed opportunity. This at the time when Ford is looking over its shoulder at VW. They should play on their strength and popularity...not some new twisted idea.

I agree with your analysis...however I would not invest my lunch money in BAC...only money that I can afford to sit on for some time. BofA is a company that people love to hate and the gov therefore is popular when it trashes the company. I am sitting on my shares and the only real problem is that this is dead money for awhile.
General Electric Valuation Suggests A Reality Check With A Warning [View article]
These are the kind of articles that make me rub my hands. Bearish over all, and bearish on a bellwether stock that has slowly but steadily trudged through this weak recovery. I does not need to break a speed record, to me it is a stable core holding and these hyperventilation's are poppycock.

Was Bernanke Lying About Printing Money? [View article]
Finally someone that makes sense. I am so tired of gloom and doom...however, in the contrarian sense...now is the time to invest in U S stocks. In these days of instant everything...we won't instantly crash any more than we will instantly double our holdings. Seems like we are awash in a crowd of spoiled, snotty nosed children.
Should General Electric Spin Off GE Capital? [View article]
Would you cut your leg off if you had a cramp? No, you would exercise it and make it stronger. GE Capital has made significant contributions to the overall health of GE. Very fooling to cut it loose, in my opinion.
American Capital (ACAS +0.6%) has its price target lifted to $15 from $12 at UBS which reiterates its Hold on the stock. The company also gets a shout out from Todd Sullivan who implores AIG to copy American Capital's strategy of aggressively buying back shares as long as they're below book value. [View news story]
Lifting a target to $15 from $12 after the stock already hits $14 shows real guts doesen't it. Now how about $25?
