  • Apple Pay - Taking A Bite Out Of Payments [View article]
I don't think so. Samsung can't make a fingerprint scanner that works, let alone is secure. That's what people don't get - Apple does the tough work to make technology that actually works. The rest of the industry makes stuff that barely works (or doesn't at all) so they can put it on a spec sheet and advertise it.
    BIG difference.

But Apple Pay uses your existing credit cards. You add your existing credit cards to Apple Pay and then use the credit account of your choice when you use Apple Pay. Of course the same terms would apply.

Clearly, Apple Pay will be a new and valuable addition to the Apple ecosystem. I want to use Apple Pay and Apple is the only company I would trust with such a system. A significant portion of the population feels the same way. Apple Pay will generate at least significant revenue for Apple and could become a major revenue source. This is all very positive for Apple. There's no down side.

  • Analyzing The Potential Benefit Of An Apple Payment Ecosystem [View article]
All indications are Apple isn't involved with this leak - if there was only a single leak at all. So far this is known:
    - Files associated with DropBox were found in some of the leaked data, indicating at least some of the images were stolen from DropBox.
    - Some celebrities whose images were released have flatly stated they don't even use iPhones or iCloud, instead they use Android devices.
    - Some celebrities stated the "leaks" of "stolen images" were fakes - Photoshop manipulations of other photos unassociated with them.

So some images have been obtained from a variety of sources - including fake ones - and the term iCloud used to generate buzz.

This is manufactured. It isn't real.

This is marvelous. I'd love to leave my plastic at home and unclutter my pockets. Apple is the only one I'd trust with my financial information.

  • A Clue That Apple Is 'Cooking' Something Up [View article]
A fresh analysis - well done! This article was worth reading, unlike many others that just present a slightly different calculation using the same publicly available data. I didn't have the opportunity to watch Tim Cook live, so I'm glad to hear your impressions.
Thanks for the unconventional and useful article.

"Until Cook's surprising comments, I was long on Apple and have a significant position in the stock. After hearing about them, I became concerned about the future."

You mean you're concerned about Apple continuing to do what made Apple great?

You sound biased and small minded.

  • Apple iPhone 5C Is No Flop [View article]
Nice analysis. I like it when the numbers disprove a knee-jerk reaction from uninformed market commentators. The 5C is a fine device. I know many people who have them and like them.

  • Apple Building Out Their Own CDN To Deliver Content To Consumers [View article]
It's very hard for me to gauge the impact this would have on Apple's bottom line or quality of service, given how little I know about networking, especially huge networks like are the topic of this article. Can anyone provide more insight on this?

  • Google Missed: Where's The Outrage? [View article]
Thanks for this myth-busting article. The hypocrisy and bias inherent in the whole analyst-makes-expectat... racket is amazing. I am sick of seeing humanity act out of herd mentality instead of solid, logical reason.
Again, thank you for this excellent article.
