  • Zaky: Apple's P/E Ratio Falls to Lowest Level Since Financial Crisis Despite 92% Earnings Growth [View article]
No surprise here. I totally agree with you. Sooner or later their cash position will be greater than their market cap. I will see a pile of cash, in my lap. I am holding on, like you. Long live the apple longs!!

  • It Is Not Different This Time - It Is Worse [View article]
WOW!!! Mention the disabled and BANG! I work in the healthcare field. I personally evaluate the 'disabled'. There are many abuses. Some of my favorites are disability for, ADHD, arthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia, drug abuse, obesity, agoraphobia and personality disorders. Some truly need to be removed from the work environment. The majority smoke, drink and do drugs. I work in an Emergency Department. They come in for injuries, falls, laceration back strain, ect. They all list themselves as unemployed. 80% of them ask for work excuses. Go figure. I have 2 disabilities, Investomania and workaholic. I am going to apply for disability.

  • Wall Street’s Infinite Loop: How Apple Is Valued [View article]
Excellent analysis. I agree with the other posters on APPL being under valued in respect to growth. My belief is apple is like the new infant Anaconda snake species from the amazon rain forest. There have never been any like it before. No true experts. How big will the Anaconda get?

The Steve jobs theory? There are other people to run the company. Majority of Apple users don't care.

    Long apple and holding.

Happy to read critical objective article.

  • Buy This Oil Stock Now While The Price Is Low [View article]
I agree this is a good play on GAS. What do you think will pan out with YPF and the socialist government? What is the potential loss there? This may give us a better buying opportunity.

Not long gas, yet? Waiting for the downgrades and bankruptcies.

  • Investing In Apple 'Too Difficult?' [View article]
Can you apply this 'theory' to AMAZON or GOOGLE? It would be interesting to see how many quarters, they would need to reach the 'equity value 101'. Sounds like "Mumbo Jumbo" to me. Just short the stock if you have so much confidence in your theory.

  • The DOJ could reportedly sue Apple (AAPL) and Macmillan today over the alleged fixing of e-book prices while coming to a settlement with Simon & Schuster (CBS), Hachette and HarperCollins (NWSA). Justice wants a deal that would let Amazon (AMZN) and other retailers, not the publishers, decide what to charge customers.  [View news story]
Wow, now the government want to tell apple how much profit they can make. Thanks shorts, BUY, BUY, BUY!!!!
    Long Apple.

  • Investing In Apple 'Too Difficult?' [View article]
I refer to my post I made last year. Apple is like a NEW species of Anaconda Snakelet. How big will it get? There are no experts. We will see in 10-20 years. In the meantime I will collect the dividend. Long Apple, way too long. Also long QCOM and AVGO.

  • Iron Ore Rebound: Cliffs Natural Resources In Focus [View article]
I bought shares at bottom, sold calls on half. I have rolled the calls twice. Now I am getting the yield on all the shares, while getting the call income. It seems like a win/win situation.

  • With a wholesale ASP of ~$650, the iPhone is much more expensive than the average Android phone before subsidies kick in. That's proving to be a problem in markets where subsidies don't exist, or where consumers prefer to buy phones prepaid rather than agree to expensive contracts. In crisis-hit Greece and Portugal, for example, Apple's (AAPL) smartphone share remains below 10%, leaving Android (GOOG) to dominate the market. (also)  [View news story]
Who cares if the welfare state of Greece can't afford an i-phone? I don't. Sell to the other billion people that actually work for a living. Better yet, the IMF can create a, 'Donate to the poor Greek i-phone fund'. USA is on it's way to being a welfare state. It is difficult living in a country that I feel is loosing credibility and respect.

I look forward to my 1 time special dividend from apple before the tax the rich 'Comrade Obama' signs his tax laws!!!

  • Retailers in some Chinese cities have been ordered to halt sales of iPads (AAPL), according to media reports. The move follows a lawsuit in which Proview claims it's owned the name for over a decade. Another report has iPads being confiscated from retailers in Shijiazhuang. Apple quivers, +1.8% and over $500/share.  [View news story]
Isn't funny the country that steals tech, stops the sales of the biggest product in history of tech, because of the 'name', rights. LOL

  • "Two mega developments will impact world copper consumption: the level of global business activity and substitution," writes Simon Hunt, a veteran watcher of the market. With neither factor boding well for the metal, he says, all that's propping prices is copper's financialization. This too will end; "copper prices will fall sharply, and that is almost a given."  [View news story]
My teenage daughter make statements like this to her Facebook friends, 'I am going somewhere tonight". Just to get attention. Childish really. China is a long way off from having decreased demand for cooper. Have you ever been to China? I have. The electric grid is, at best, rudimentary. Much of the rural population only have 1-2 outlets per home (if you call it a home). Scare me out of SCCO? Not a chance. Yield, total return on equity are the highest in the space. Long SCCO for 5 years and counting.

  • How to Enjoy MLP Distributions Without the Tax Hassles [View article]
"If your MLP is held in a tax-sheltered account such as an IRA, the portion of the distributions designated as "ordinary income" may be considered unrelated business taxable income (UBTI), and subject to tax. However, UBTI is usually a small percentage of total distributions and it will not be taxed as long as the amount of this income and all other sources of UBTI does not exceed $1,000 in any year." So dont make a huge investment, I have about 10k in an MLP.
