  • Apple’s Momentum Will Continue [View article]
"Its price is £269 ($567) in the U.K. Though this is cheaper than its launch price in the U.S. in June, it is much higher than the current U.S. price of $399. In Germany, the price is even more: €399 ($585). Early reports show that the response was not as overwhelming as in the U.S. (They are probably waiting for a price reduction as well.)"

In my opinion all European customers are not waiting for a price reduction but for a 3G capable model.

There have been rumors of a 3G model in June 2008 from Spain Telefonica ... so ...

  • Apple's Leopard Is Worryingly Windows-Like [View article]
Seeking Alpha editors, do you copy?
Please consider accurately selecting articles prior to publishing ... please stop feeding us with this crap.

I love to be challenged but with solid and heavy points ... not with these inconsistent arguments.

    Thanks in advance,

  • Apple's Leopard Not as Error Free as It Should Be [View article]
This article is groundless: one would not install MacOS X with its 300+ new features for a single problem in Flash player?

The problem is being recognized as NOT caused by MacOS X in the article itself though: so the very single point on which the article was based is annihilated by the author himself.

And again: why this abrupt change in topic with Vista? Let's rename this article as "My purported problems with digital life".

  • Apple Co-Founder Thinks iPhone Price Cuts Reflect Inventory Problems [View article]
I just think we should start avoiding quoting Wozniak and listen to his blah blah that 90% of times has no sense at all.

His name will always be remembered in IT history but please Woz ...

  • European iPhones, Starbucks and Pavarotti: A Perfect Apple Combination? [View article]
    Hello Pravanti,
    thanks for your message.

I find that image and the idea of selling Luciano Pavarotti's funerals video (although maybe market valid) labeled as "another exciting idea" to be a lack of respect.

We are still close to this event and seeing it pulled commercially in such a way hurts: I think you can understand.

My "trash" adjective was meant not on the opera facts you mention but on the idea that in order to raise iPhone sales one should use Luciano's funerals ...

Anyway let's not make this bigger than it is ... I always read Carl's articles as I said, I always find them valid: it just felt bad looking at that picture and reading that idea also knowing Carl from his articles.

  • European iPhones, Starbucks and Pavarotti: A Perfect Apple Combination? [View article]
    Dear Carl,

honestly I have always found your articles to be sharp, interesting and financially sound but let me just say that "[My apologies to the memory of Pavarotti, but I just couldn't resist]" is not enough.

This is just bad taste and lack of that minimum level of respect every man deserves.

BTW that opera idea just *sounds* like trash.

    Sincerely, Andrea

  • Apple's Retail Growth Depends on European Expansion  [View article]
As long as I know there's no Apple Store here in Milan, it's been opened just in Rome; I think people will line up there ...

Apart from this there are few shops from cell phones brands like Nokia or Motorola, I think most if not close to all their cell phones are sold by carriers here in Europe.

I agree with the need to do more from Apple and so waiting for a real Milan store here. =)
