  • Corning's Gorilla Glass Is Optically Superior To Sapphire [View article]
Single issue articles are not what I would call "great". By failing to look at all aspects of comparison between GG and Sapphire, the piece reduces its value to that of a comment for a real article.

"Do you feel they can manufacture. If the answer is yes invest heavily. "

Really, you're telling people to invest heavily based on "feelings"? That's precious. Good luck with that, you're going to need it.

There is a 3rd choice other than "invest heavily" and "stay out". I think options represent the only intelligent play here as it limits your downside. Or, you can go with your "feelings". That's how people lose their shirts.

Ok, thanks. I did a search and only saw the Q'ed symbol. The new stock seems to be doing well enough.

Only a fool would buy a stock like this. Options represent a far safer means of exposure to the risk of absolute failure, which can't be dismissed.

  • UniPixel delays InTouch sensor production to Q2, shares -5.4% AH [View news story]
It is becoming clearly obvious that mass producing this technology is a formidable feat, and not even the great expertise of bankrupt EK can solve it. All the rebranding is evidence that they are desperately reformulating the recipe to try and get better results. All the promises were based on laboratory results that couldn't be duplicated in the fab.

Shorts are not the only players in the game. Where were the buyers? Good news should precipitate higher prices. Even future good news should be discounted beforehand. Neither is happening.

I doubt they'll contest any charges and that will avoid legal fees. Best thing will be to admit wrong doing and move on.

While I am not short the stock ( that opportunity has long since passed ), I am detached enough to be able to see clearly that this company is a poor investment, even for a dead cat bounce. I got out at $30 when the fan got hit with a ton of manure in May, and watching for a new entry opportunity ever since.

Good trading doesn't require luck. It requires the ability to be objective.

Big players don't have that large a stake in UNXL. They took a small stake on the chance that it panned out. It seems obvious that these stakeholders are distancing themselves from UNXL and refusing their initial deliveries due to quality issues.

The smart money got out of this stock on the first big news of product delay in May. Hope is not an investment strategy.

I think the market has sent a strong message of how the CEO departure should be perceived. In most instances where a CEO departure is a positive, the market will respond with a sharp rally. In the case of UNXL, the CEO quitting was not perceived as a positive by the market, but as a negative. Why was Killian's departure not seen as a positive by the market? My belief is that his leaving points ultimately to product failure that can't be fixed by changing CEOs.

But don't believe me. Just ask the market.

I didn't get that the narrative was even suggesting a hint of deception. It reads more like a history of over-hyped failed ventures. Was there deliberate deception? Not necessarily, although you can't dismiss the possibility outright. More likely is that the failures are due to lack of understanding of the limitations of their own technology. Notably the difficulty of achieving adequate yields in a production environment. The key here is: quality companies don't state an ability that they don't already know they have.

I think it is worth noting that the company first touted Diamond Guard as being much harder than it really is. This is a red flag that could show a tendency to deceive investors. Hardness testing is not difficult to obtain through independent labs. Why advertise that it has a hardness of 9 when it really is a 6? They must have known what they were doing.

The evidence is staggering of either astounding ineptitude or willful negligence on the part of the company's leadership.

Hows that rationalizing working out for you? Been a good investment strategy? Reed's job is done, with a product that has never made it to market? Sounds like another rationalization from where I stand.

By your theory, Reed has been a distraction since May 2013. Why didn't he resign way back then? The dirt of 2011 was a warning to those who were astute enough to heed it.
