  • LinkedIn (2013) Vs. Amazon (1999) [View article]
Agree that LNKD will one day come down to earth; but we are probably a year or so away from that happening. Technically, LNKD more resembles AMZN of late '98 whereas AMZN did not peak until the very end of '99.

ISRG seems more a result of the market and MAKO than company specific news; that and the fact that it's risen from about $40 to almost $600 while the overall market has done nothing. Where the big money to be made is finding the next ISRG. Ideas? SSYS may be one.

  • Selling Into Strength Doesn't Mean Catching the Top [View article]
    Dr. Kris,
While I certainly cannot speak for either Leigh or yourself, after having read your book as well as the article above, it would appear that Leigh's strategy differs from yours in that he is looking to capture the lion's share in a swing trade before moving to the next trade whereas, if I understood your strategy, you are looking for the BIG STOCK that could make your year. More times than not, by selling into a "blowoff move" a stock will be dead money for quite some time. However, every so often that "blowoff move" doesn't just wither and instead is part of a tremendous move. The only way to capture that tremendous move is to be willing to give back some unrealized profits in most cases. I realize I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. Personally, I'm trying to hunt for that next BIG stock.
