  • Deterioration In Europe Could Cost Alcatel-Lucent In Q1 [View article]
Markos - You are all wet..Every body on the street is expecting a LOUSY quarter to be followed by a VERY upbeat company response to the coming year. They have just introduced product in direct competition with Cisco. It has already been shown that Cisco has nothing in comparison. This will hurt Cisco but be VERY beneficial to ALU. I am the editor and publisher of a private news letter and ALU is my number ONE pick for 2013 - 2014.. Good luck.........

  • Alcatel-Lucent Cannot Bear The Weight Of Today's World [View article]
I have just read you article on ALU and I must say I have NEVER read such TRASH. Your comments as to approaching your price target of $1.20 makes no sense as the ALU closed at $1.42 up $0.08 for the day. Your anticipation of a losing report is probably right, however Wall Street always builds in future reports as was pointed out by Deutsche Bank . Also why do you compare ALU to companies such as P & G - J &n J . ALU recently introduced a NEW ROUTER that is 5 times faster than anything that Cisco has. I am sure over a short period of time ALU will have the commanding share of the router business.

  • Alcatel-Lucent Makes A Dent In The Core Router Space, Continues Restructuring [View article]
In my opinion ALU is the SLEEPER of the year.Do not look at the past but more focus on the future. They have the LEADING new products that will carry them years into the future. They have already received a number of orders for their Light Radio and now a MAJOR order for their CORE ROUTER. I also believe that their quest to raise funds is a given and following that I also believe that the street will most likely upgrade their common stock to outperform.........

  • Corning (GLW -8.4%) plummets after guiding in its Q3 report for Q4 glass volumes to be flat to down by "a low-single digit percentage" Q/Q, with accelerating price declines taking place along the way. During its earnings call, Corning also noted its gross margin will decline in Q4, and that its telecom glass business (hurt by a weak capex environment) won't meet its 2012 growth target. The company says it has "no plans" to boost LCD glass capacity. [View news story]
My opinion is that GLW is a STRONG BUY. Do not look at the past or the immediate future. Go out 6 months and you will see another outlook that is VERY positive. Corning is no doubt a glass company, but is slowly evolving into an electronic company with some very revolutionary products. My outlook is 6 to 12 months for a major and VERY rewarding move.

  • Heroes And Zeros: PDL Biopharma And Alcatel-Lucent [View article]
After listening to all of the nays and ayes I am more than convinced that ALU will be a MAJOR winner in the next 12 months. All of the NAYS are looking at the past that wasn't pretty. However the future is extremely bright.. They have the FASTEST core router that uses less power than anything out there. AT&T recently indicated that will further UPGRADE their UVERSE system and expect to spend $110 million to $190 million. It is expected that ALU will be the primary vendor of the needed equiptment. Stay tuned for a VERY strong future. GLTA

Today is just a continuation of the SELL recommendation by UBS and GOLDMAN SACHS. This is an opportunity to acquire cheap stock with a BIG upside potential. Keep in minbd that they are not going into a bankruptcy. To quote S&P " we don't see any liquity problems".

Your opinion on ALU sucks. You are joining the other bears when you mention UBS and GOLDMAN SACHS. How about the opinion of RAYMOND JAMES that has a STRONG BUY rating and The recent S&P report that stated liquidity is NO longer a problem for ALU. I guess that you really do not know the current developments at ALU, such as their Core Router that is 5 time faster than any router out there including CISCO.Why don't you look into ALU and not follow the dumpsters that are protecting their customers who are short ALU. Lets see who is right over the next few months.

  • Alcatel-Lucent (ALU -3.2%) falls towards the $1 level once again thanks to a downgrade to Sell from UBS. The firm is worried about weak fixed-line capex in Europe, a lack of a recovery for Chinese demand, and the need for asset sales to address the company's debt obligations. UBS has been (accurately) voicing concerns about telecom capex for a while. [View news story]
In my opinioin UBS is manipulating the stock so that their friends can buy in at a low price before they raise the rating. The company name should be separated U and BS.

There is no doubt that CZR is a major player in VEGAS. But it is no secret that VEGAS is on an upbeat dispite the month ofMay.

  • Nokia (NOK -9.7%) and Alcatel-Lucent (ALU -7.5%) are off sharply, as investors fret Europe's debt crisis will prevent the cash-burning companies from raising fresh capital. Nokia is now at levels last seen in 1996, and speculation is growing newly-minted tablet seller Microsoft (MSFT) will consider buying its Windows Phone partner. Nonetheless, a Microsoft exec asserts his company has no interest in making its own phones, shooting down prior speculation.  [View news story]
ALCATEL-LUCENT announces METRO CELL EXPRESS - a solution that combines its small cell Light Radio technology+

By the way have you heard that AT&T is in the market to PURCHASE 100,000 single cell units similar to ALU's METRO CELL EXPRESS. The toss up is between ALU, ERICSON and maybe CISCO.

However the talk is that ALU has the inside track because of the ability to place the units anywhere, such has on the top of a street light or roof of any nearby roof, etc.

  • Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) is down 13.8% after delivering weak Q3 results and Q4 guidance - numbers suggesting its standing in the telecom equipment world remains in a long-term decline. Drops in wireless and Asia-Pac revenue are likely raising eyebrows, given how those have been areas of strength for other vendors. (PR)  [View news story]
In my opinion I believe that the street is missing the BIG picture. The fact is that they own Bell Labs the MOST innovated developer of telecom equipment that will be the most in demand going forward. The telcom industry is very crowded and still growing by leaps and bound. ALU has products that are just hitting the market that will enable the industry to expand.

  • Netflix: Twice as Hot as Apple This Year [View article]
You are a JOKE. I bought NETFLIX after I became a subscriber. I have never seen a more EFFICIENT company. I would return a disc and get an e-mail the next day to say that it has arrived. I would then get another e-mail that my next selection is on the way. In between I would watch streaming movies on my TV thanks to Netflix and ROKU. All I can say about Netflix is "AWESOME"...........
