Apple is in the buy zone following Q report, IMO.

Looking to add some shares in the next week or so.

  • Big Oil may have to cut dividends, Goldman’s Currie says  [View news story]
Jeff Currie says oil prices may stay low enough for long enough to force Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) and its big oil peers to cut their dividends...then again, they may not.

Goldman Sachs will be buyers of Big Oil, no doubt in my mind.

Long Apple for years and will continue to be long Apple for years.

Not sure if folks only own Apple, but for my wife and I, it is the only stock that we both hold in separate portfolios. Plenty of other stocks to balance things out.

    Diversification is the key.

Inoculations were a hot topic some time ago when there was talk of vaccines causing autism.

There is no link between vaccines and autism. Some people have had concerns that ASD might be linked to the vaccines children receive, but studies have shown that there is no link between receiving vaccines and developing ASD.Nov 23, 2015 (CDC and Prevention)

The cynic would say that the CDC "had" to make a statement like this or face massive lawsuits.

From what I have read, and I have read quite a bit on this topic, there is no link that has been proven.

    It's a small world 44auto.

I was trying to say that Nat. gas lines were in our part of the state and that many folks have Nat. gas service at their homes. I did a poor job with my wording.

All is good. Thank you for the comment.

Probably not possible for 100% reliability, but I have to figure someone can build airbags that don't fire metal shards at occupants when deployed.

    44auto,

I think you have me confused with someone living in NYC. I live in the poorest county in NY, far from NYC.

I see firsthand the need for useful services on a daily basis.

I suggest you re-read my comments. Somewhere along the line you got the impression that I support my Governors decisions on fracking and banning the pipeline, which I do not.

    No sand throwing here.

Just wanted to set the record straight.

No Greece this morning. No Yahoo/Starboard news. No Tesla or PIMCO either.

Apple revenue seen as dropping before the release of their Earnings Report. Why bother with an Earnings Report at all? Analyst estimates are claiming a rough quarter for Apple. Are analysts ever wrong? Predictions above for eBay, Twitter, and AT&T. Crystal balls are in use.

How can Xerox not be in the news? No passes should be given to Xerox and their slumping results.

Mitsubishi not telling the whole truth, so it seems. Fuel economy numbers weren't correctly reported. Anyone know any Mitsubishi owners who are complaining about their fuel economy? Now let's get back to Takata and the fact that their airbags are killing people. How is this company not at the top of the "Investigation List?"

    How about a little history?
On this day in 1954, the Salk polio vaccine field trials, involving 1.8 million children, begin at the Franklin Sherman Elementary School in McLean, Virginia. Children in the United States, Canada and Finland participated in the trials, which used for the first time the now-standard double-blind method, whereby neither the patient nor attending doctor knew if the inoculation was the vaccine or a placebo.
    Also-
On this day in 1986, the world’s worst nuclear accident to date occurs at the Chernobyl nuclear plant near Kiev in Ukraine. The full toll from this disaster is still being tallied, but experts believe that thousands of people died and as many as 70,000 suffered severe poisoning. In addition, a large area of land may not be livable for as much as 150 years. The 18-mile radius around Chernobyl was home to almost 150,000 people who had to be permanently relocated.
    And-
On April 26, 1915, after receiving the promise of significant territorial gains, Italy signs the Treaty of London, committing itself to enter World War I on the side of the Allies.

Where is Jon Corzine and when will MF Global report their results?

Have a great day everyone. Stay safe, sage, and sane out there.

    Excelsior!

It always about politics in NY. Fracking ban. Politics. Pipeline ban. Politics.

I feel badly for the people who had land taken under eminent domain claims and saw their trees/forest cleared for a pipeline that didn't get approved!

No word if anyone will pay for replanting...
