  • Pizza Pizza: Get A Slice Of This Delicious Dividend Yield [View article]
Another very good, in-depth article. I ate at Pizza Pizza today for the first time because of you. The food was good, fresh, but ultimately nothing special. From an investor viewpoint this looks like a good stock, but as a consumer, I prefer to buy frozen pizza :P

You should take a look at Imvescor, they have a good portfolio of brands active mostly in Quebec and Ontario, the valuation are attractive and they have a 5 % div.

  • Update: IC Potash Raises Funds From A Strategic Investor [View article]
Nice article. I though I was the only one with a negative opinion about this "deal", since the market reaction was positive (almost 10 % gain that day). Desperate move indeed.

  • Insiders Are Buying Canadian Oil Sands [View article]
I agree with Hungry for K. I will add that this article is pointless without a complete analysis of the company. I had to do my own research and I found out your 2013 guidances are outdated. The company keep lowering them and yet still missed both Q1 and Q2.

Also, the payout ratio is incredibly high (way more than 100 %), which will limit the growth. Conclusion, safe dividend (for now), company will be sensible to rising interest rate and lower WTI price (more so than the competition, because of the higher production cost). So yeah, all this with 10 minutes of extra work. No wonder they only bought 100K$ of share.

If you "really" want exposure to oil sands, look at MEG energy or Athabasca oil corp (more risky, but one of the insider bought 2-3M shares in June at 7 $, now that's what I call a massive plus)

  • Overall Producer Prices Rise But Prices For Food And Fertilizer Tumble [View article]
Very good article. Of all the potash article posted on SA in the last month, I think you are the first to talk about the grain price decline, something no potash investor should overlook, even with the current positive event. Market will eventually adjust and this will be ugly

  • Report: Belarus intends to seize Uralkali assets [View news story]
What a ridiculous turn of event. The cartel officially died today, what will emerge of this mess is the real question.

I only trade Canadian stocks , but I alway like reading your articles and I am really glad to see you back on SA. That one seems like a good move for someone with more flexibility than me.

  • Buffett's new Suncor stake could be the start of something bigger [View news story]
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw an article about Buffet and SU this morning. I was long SU for a long time, but left shortly after the strong Q1 result. SU has alway been the weak stock of my portfolio and even today I completely fail to see why Berkshire would buy this, considering they are alway playing the "long" term. Suncor has a low economic moat , is not a leader of the industry, is unreliable and depend too much on the "others" to get the best revenue(pipeline, train industry, market price of petrol, politics, geopolitics, weather etc).

  • Passport Potash's Low-Cost Project Stands Out In Potash Sector Meltdown [View article]
This is only my personal opinion, but, based on fundamental, I think Verde has the least chance to survive of all the stocks I mentioned. The have high operating cost (285$ per t+transport), no serious partner (ICP has Yara int., WPX has China BlueChemical...) and they had a lot of problem recently with the oven that will push the production starting date beyond 2016 (was Q1 2015 before).

  • The Gaming Industry Is Hot Again: This Mad Small Cap Is Ready For A Triple-Digit Rise [View article]
No red flag huh?, this is from last week:
"Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz”) (NYSE MKT/TSX: MCZ) announced today that, in view of the unusual market activity in the Company’s stock, the New York Stock Exchange has contacted the Company in accordance with its usual practice. The Company stated that its policy is not to comment on unusual market activity."

Now, this extremely positive article just before the quarter result this week from a new contributor. Do your homework folks and, remember, 2012 result were terrible (0 mention in this article).

  • Passport Potash's Low-Cost Project Stands Out In Potash Sector Meltdown [View article]
I am not a shareholder of PPI, but I will give the management a strong point for issuing a press report the day this disaster happened, unlike all the other potash junior I am following.

I am an ICP shareholder, but I am not proud of this company. The CEO has a 500k salary, but can't be bothered to comment the whole situation and reassure shareholder. Now the stock is down 30-40 % since June and the sellers still outnumber the buyers as of today.

Good luck to you guys, we are all in the same boat now, PPI, AAA, ICP, WPX, NPK... Financing time will be hard.

  • Athabasca Oil Corporation Is A Classic Deep Value Play [View article]
Very good article. This is probably the last week one could take profit from the situation, as the decision should come early next week according to a NBC report. Since ATH is one of the most shorted stock on the TSE, I expect a short squeeze shortly after.

  • Potash: 5 Reasons To Buy [View article]
I also think Potash Corp is a good investment for now, but with so many little players on the side, I think your secular growth argument is too early to tell. I can think of 4 projects that should be in production by 2017 and I am not even counting BHP Billiton's Jensen project. Even POT has a major expansion that will add another 4 or 5 millions metric tons by 2015.
