Getting notice of some 'Fat Finger' strategy orders in NY. Probably not a $KCG event, but looking for stocks with buy morning distortions.

    • neobliviscar: Made a little on $KCG. Not much. I'm not seeing evidence of the fat finger in my brief scan, but one of the trading houses put out a note.

    • neobliviscar: Only linked to a few. We're a small fund. They might take me out and shoot me some day. As is, we are quiting one firm at end of March.

    • Perkins Cove: So, you could say you work and play at the same time? You obviously love what you do.

    • neobliviscar: Actually, kinda hate it. Mr. Consistent like Ichiro, though I've traded with the Pete Roses of the profession. They are more interesting.

    • Perkins Cove: Well, do away with that part you hate. I have experienced a passion that turned into "work" more than once.

    • Perkins Cove: If it's not worth getting up in the morning for, find something that is. Hey, bet you could fall back to daytrading for yourself.....?

    • neobliviscar: More likely to go back to biology or art restoration. Just happens I'm very good at my #4 choice. If "great", I would have stayed retired.

    • Perkins Cove: Damn! Biology or art restoration. (made a living for 25 years as a scenic photographer, framing my own works)

    • neobliviscar: I remember that. For me, restoring antique asian works. Mostly Korean and Japanese, though I have some experience with Etruscan works.

    • neobliviscar: Usually the Etruscan ones don't need anything, but the highly variable Korean and Japanese climates can do a whammy on things over time.

    • Perkins Cove: While always interested in stocks (think Rukeyser) it now appears to be a way forward, for myself and family. Strange World we live in......
