I used to run a limited partnership, boutique hedge fund in the 90s. Retired in 2000 and moved from New York City to Toronto, Canada, got married, raised a family and basically settled down. After a few years in Toronto, my wife got tired of the city’s 8 months of cold weather and insisted that we move to a city where there are 8 months of warm and balmy weather. So we settled on San Diego, CA and moved here in 2005 and now call this lovely city with the most perfect weather, home…
It’s been 4 years since I started this blog back in December of 2012…though I did not actively post this year, my plan for 2017 is to adopt a slightly more hands-on role…we shall see…
For those new here, a quick background…I started Options2Wealth as a 6 month experiment in equity options trading with a seed capital of $10,000…my trades were transparent enough that I would first announce my trade(s) here before placing them…once my intention was time-stamped on this blog, I would then place the actual trade and post a screenshot of its execution as proof…
How well did I do? Well, if you really want to know, you will need to go through the first 56 posts, all saved here for posterity by the wonderful internet…every single trade, buy or sell, and the reason(s) behind the trade along with supporting charts, etc…it was one heck of a ride… :) A few of the blog’s readers piggy-backed on my trades and did pretty good for themselves, later sharing their individual testimonials, in the comments section, with everyone here … ;)
Last year, on a lark, my wife and I started a new company in the high-end consumer space…our company, iBBQ, sells a line of very unique, hand-crafted barbecue tables called the Angara…our tables are built by us at a facility in Michigan…recently, the Robb Report, the Bible of luxury living, dubbed it the "Ultimate in Outdoor Entertaining.” … check us out at http://www.ibbq.com ...and should you be interested in bringing the world's most stunning and versatile outdoor dining table to your backyard, contact me here and I may be able to make you an offer too difficult to turn down... :)
Best of Luck to All!

I am a long term value investor, but I am also interested in growth stocks when it is not overpriced.
I enjoy the process of finding out stocks with value, much like a gold-mining experience. Along the way, I also gained a lot of insight on various businesses.
Most of the time, I post articles and comments on Seeking Alpha to get opinions from other people, since it is important to get criticized and avoid the confirmatory bias. I also believe that small investors need to work together to share their research efforts in order to achieve an edge on information.
While I am passionate about investment, I am also passionate about many other things as well, such as Math, Machine Learning, Psychology and Philosophy. I believe life is about having fun, and a big part of that "fun" comes from constant learning and personal improvement.

Starting as a summer intern in 1978, Kirk worked for 20 years as a scientist and engineer at Hewlett Packard's research and development department (R&D) designing solid state devices and components for optical communication. While he was at HP, Kirk invested ten to twenty percent per year of his salary. He made some mistakes early on (starting with paying high fees for "expert" advice that under performed) but soon he learned to invest his own money well enough to afford a life of "semi-retirement" to work for himself. In a way, since leaving HP in 1998, Kirk became his own "angel investor" using his his own money and investing success to finance his lifestyle in Los Altos, California to invest in a new career on the internet helping others do the same. Love the trill of the hunt. Finding that little gem which is set to take off. I check daily and will trade partial position to accumulate shares for the longer haul.
I have been trading for a while, the first shares I ever bought were in the B.P. IPO. I have lived and worked all over the world in a number of capacities, including as a teacher and a Corporate Director. I now spend much of my time at Home with my four children ( hence my name), leading a much more settled life.
I believe that core growth and dividend returns are important, but a small manageable portion of your portfolio must always be invested in High risk High return scenarios. Don't bet more than you can afford and whenever possible play with the houses money. Start a position early. Start Small and accumulate.
Yaron “Ron” Reuven is the President & Chief Investment Officer of Reuven Capital Investments, LP. His expertise is in business valuations, financial model & theory analysis, and financial industry compliance. Throughout his 15 year career, Ron has been a valuable asset to many business owners and executives by managing their investments as well as advising them on countless business matters. Ron began his American dream at the age of 10 when his family emigrated from Israel to the United States. He became involved in business early on and has been exposed to a variety of industries and business models. This eclectic experience has cemented his distinctive investment and business philosophy. Establishing a FINRA MEMBER BROKER/DEALER when he was just 26 years old made Mr. Reuven one of the youngest individuals to ever independently open a FINRA member firm. Ron’s contrarian point of view and broad range of management, financial, and investment experience offers a unique value to the firm’s clients.
Yaron “Ron” Reuven began his career in the financial services industry at a New York City branch of First Union in 1999. There he began developing his own due diligence process and investment philosophy. By mid 2001, he was recruited by Raymond James Financial (NYSE:RJF), one of the largest financial services firms in the United States. At Raymond James, he began to implement his own concentrated investment philosophy and built strong relationships with his clients. Throughout one of the most difficult environments in market history Ron successfully became the third largest producing broker in the United States for Raymond James in August 2003.
Subsequently in an effort to expand the services and products he was able to offer his clients, Ron started a Wall Street office with another national independent broker/dealer based in Florida. He quickly became the firm’s largest producing broker and branch. In order to truly accomplish his long term goals, he realized that he and his team needed to be completely independent. In November 2006 REUVEN ENTERPRISES SECURITIES DIVISION (RESD) A FINRA/SIPC MEMBER FIRM AND MSRB LICENSED DEALER was founded. This was a massive undertaking which allowed Ron to truly implement his long term investment philosophy, and ultimately launch his hedge fund. In 2009 REUVEN CAPITAL INVESTMENTS, LP FUND (RCI) was launched. RCI is a long/short equity fund with a selectively concentrated portfolio. Ron’s ultimate goal for RCI is to have shareholder representation on the board of some of the companies the fund invests in.
Mr. Reuven is a NFL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION REGISTERED PLAYER FINANCIAL ADVISOR, and is involved with multiple charitable organizations, philanthropic work and public speaking. His unique philosophy, track record, and incisive financial commentary have been featured by Bloomberg, CNBC, NDTV, SNN WIRE, MANN, CNN, and GotGame.

Curis, Inc. (CRIS) - NasdaqGM rated best investment going forward in Biotech for the remainder of 2014 and certainly for 2015.
Past Results - Achillion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ACHN) was issued a best investment rating on April 14, 2014 and it's hoped that on June 16, 2014 that investors locked in profit near the highs. The high that day was $8.05. The best investment rating was issued from the $2.70's area.
Athersys, Inc. (ATHX) - NasdaqCM In 2013 ATHX in the $1.60's area was issued a best investment notice. Followed up with several articles pointing out its potential. It's hoped investors took profit over $4 in early 2014. Today ATHX and its MultiStem is of high risk with one "no efficacy" phase II trial in 2014 reporting. For this reason ATHX is a buy only under $1.60 again today. This will limit downside to some degree if MultiStem fails again to show efficacy in a second phase II trial.
Other past calls were CLDX, ACUR and ALNY.

For the past 30 years, I have been involved in startups, as a founder, and active investor. My first company was purchased by Johnson & Johnson, which set the foundation for future investments.
My level of trading escalated after graduating from college, primarily as a result of my relationship with the founder of the Silicon Valley venture capital firm, Institutional Venture Partners, (Netflix, Twitter, Oracle). By focusing on VC backed companies, I soon learned the advantage of investing in promising companies before they became household names. My interest in startups has never waned, and has become my primary focus today.
