Bank loans were anchored by blue chip stocks in both their names. Bank called the loan on the wife. Starting a DRIP account for a child is also good and pays off in the long-run. The child sees his statement and his interest is aroused about the stock market. Many DRIP clearing jhouses still do not report accurate gains/losses when you sell a stock. You need to keep records.
