  • Silver Wheaton: The Recent Sell-Off Has Presented A Long-Term Buying Opportunity [View article]
I agree with you on these 3 but not for the same reasons. My particular reasons is that PMs have under performed and will continue to under perform until this system begins using them to a greater degree for the production of their products. Right now, the only product I can see in the foreseeable future that would benefit PMs is the re-introduction of these metals in currency. There the volume would temporarily raise their value to an established set price, but then after the market was flooded with gold and silver, their price would level off and again, PMs would enter into the doldrums. So with such headwinds against PMs, why would anybody support the company's that streamed them?

Is it possible that SLW could expand its base with continued acquisitions but remain dormant in its overall value because the value of its product remains stagnant?

  • Online gambling friends and foes to tangle in DC [View news story]
If you want to make $$$ you must go with the popular not necessarily the practical and in your opinion, the best product. Unfortunately inn this case, the volume of voters can be financially more profitable than the quality of the ethical position.

I hope BYD carries on the Hawaiian theme where ever they go. This has become their signature series.

  • Nevada gaming revenue strong in May despite baccarat slide [View news story]
Again I ask, is the slide in profits due to lack of players and playing activity? or is it because people are winning more? And is this an issue with just BYD or nationwide gambling in general.

  • Teck could raise $1B from silver stream sales to Silver Wheaton, TD says [View news story]
Regardless if it's a by-product or a product of their intended search by investment, it's still a precious metal that should be the focal point of their (SLW)'s or (TCK)'s portfolio. I just cannot figure out why in this industry that silver is not used more than it is. It seems that silver use has become stagnant for the last few years with no increase in volume in the foreseeable future.

  • Vringo files $50M mixed shelf [View news story]
When a company spends much of its existence in the courts, you have to wonder either they have a brilliant product(s) and or a strategy that everybody else wants or else there's an issue with them.

I keep looking for VRNG to cash in on its positive strategies, but I also keep wondering how long this is going to take. When a stock hovers so long in one place, things get stale and doubts start creeping in.

  • Online gaming in New Jersey picks up [View news story]
Personally, I don't consider BYD as an equal to other casinos in that they cater to Hawaiians. I don't know of any other casino that caters to a group of people like BYD. For this reason only I continue to hope for BYD success. And by the way, they have the best restaurants out there

  • Will A New Streaming Deal Bring Down Silver Wheaton? [View article]
My thinking is that it is solely the price of PMs ie: silver and gold that determine the value of SLW stock and not so much the acquisitions. SLW is going to buy, spend and invest in whatever it takes to expand their control in the PM market, but if the value of PMs remains dormant or drops, then so will SLW stock value.

If things are actually in a positive mode or just this side of a guaranteed win, why hasn't management personally been buying gobs of VRNG stock. In fact, I wonder if any of them are shorting VRNG?

  • Capital World Investors Believes In Mark Pincus [View article]
If the analysts believe this: "Analysts have low expectations, expecting the company to earn lose $0.02 per share this year and earn $0.05 per share next year." Sounds like they should short ZNGA.

  • Zynga buys out two Pincus companies for employees [View news story]
I guess the question remains, did Pincus through ZNGA buy the other companies because he wanted to liquidate them and get prime $$$'s while still maintaining control over the companies thinking that this this was the best or only way to build his companies with the $billion assets of ZNGA? or Is this a legitimate acquisition because the employees will in fact take ZNGA to the next level of profits? IMHO scenario #1 seems the more likely because he most likely could have sub-contracted the work to the other two companies and accomplished the same end result.

This is the part that throws off my thinking on how the transaction went down: The fact that Pincus had invested about $2.2M into SF Incubator and Inc, and is selling them to Zynga for $1 plus the assumption of about $365K in liabilities. That adds up to an approx. $1.8mil loss for Pincus.
