My feeling is back 4 years ago when gold hit 1900 and governments began dumping their PMs en masse and then started re-buying at around 1300-1400 I believe that they all felt that their coffers would increase in value 30%+ but I don't think any of them thought that gold would hit 1200 again. I'm in agreement with C-advisor on this one and I think the spiraling down will continue for awhile yet. Let the sell-offs continue.

We'll see, but I'm in agreement with Pinballdad. 2-3 years to make a turnaround? In 2-3 years technology will completely change the industry and 2-3 years after that, another cycle will have lapsed.

  • Regional casino stocks get a look as trends improve [View news story]
Well, If Regional casino stocks are out ahead of market averages after Isle of Capri (ISLE +13.6%) shows strong revenue growth. Then BYD should have no problem keeping pace with the rest. Hawaiians love Boyd Gaming. Hope there's enough of them to score a big hit.

i do agree that the downside for ZNGA is limited since Z has just about bottomed out, however the upside appears just about as limited. I think much has to do with the removal of Mattrick or the commitment to use his services in the future. If he is removed, it would appear that the investors will hang on hoping for a resurrection of some of their hopes since their potential has not died. The only death in Z is their direction. They hit a dead end and have no apparent plans to dig their way out dropping another $.43 or 16% missing Q4 expectations. Other gamers are doing just fine KING up 13 and GLUU up nearly 33% seem to be doing just fine and are ahead of expectations.

Some good reading on those believing that Mattrick should be removed is from GBIT analyst Richard Greenfield former head of Microsoft's Xbox division.

I agree that the people who are currently invested in ZNGA are the same people that have always been invested in ZNGA. I seriously doubt that ZNGA has brought on any new investors over the last 3 years, in fact many of those that once were investors have cashed out and moved on. I do not believe that they will return although many might be in the wings looking on with satisfaction that they moved on when they did.

For years the gold:silver ratio was 50:1. Today there is a 74:1. There is a lot of room for silver to increase before things get back to normal. Just why this ratio has such a large spread is hard to believe with the industrial uses of silver today seemingly better than years ago, but only time will tell whether or not that imbalance will tighten up or not. My bet would be on silver over gold.

Contrarianadvisor - When you say, "its mostly about the stability of the U.S. financially, politically and militarily vis a vis the rest of the world." I am in total agreement, however you might note that this does not apply to the US and their US financial stability. There is no US financial stability. Things are in complete financial chaos and the near future will show that I believe that those who have put their faith and trust in it will not fare as they had hoped. FYI, I am not anti-anything, I am simply analyzing a neighborhood around which I live and plan my existence around what I see and feel and instability appears to reign as king.

Actually, I don't buy into any popular narratives. However, I do analyze certain concepts and adjust my decisions accordingly. Fiats, in my opinion are nothing more than toilet paper money backed by nothing but a weak promise to be there when needed. Although I do use it and collect it, I put no future stock in the fiats of this world nor in the various economies that produced them. The empire that uses or creates a gold/PM standard currency will fare much better. Would you personally like to carry around a silver coin worth its weight in silver or gold? or a coin/currency that promises to represent a PM supported by an empty vault and shallow commitments?

How can anybody argue that VRNG's potential is lacking? They've got nothing but green lights ahead and the hurdles ahead are no longer distractions, they are simply exercises to keep 'em in shape.
