Currently silver is sliding more than gold. Where there used to be a 50:1 ratio now there's a 74:1 ratio. There simply is no logical reason for this since there is only minimal industry for gold and because of cost, more collectors focus their purchases on silver rather than gold. So if it cannot logically be explained today, then there's not much of a remedy on something that has no solution tomorrow. The rules of supply and demand either aren't working or there just isn't enough of a demand for silver to make a difference. So until industry pumps up demand, silver will continue to flounder.

Things will turn positive for SLW when things turn positive for PMs. It's difficult for any company to have a positive showing when their prime product flounders.

When you think of a brand name you should think of a certain company. I used to think of ZNGA when I thought of casino games, but now I think of a frustrated company searching for a place to hang its hat.

I disagree that BYD is "just OK company". I think they have done a great thing in the Hawaiian market with LV. With regards to Florida, maybe they did step out of their comfort zone for whatever reason. I do think that BYD has topped out at this point, so until they put some $$$ into their existing structure, I think they have found their ceiling for now.

Time will tell if this is true. Personally, I've been in a wait and see for some time now, hoping that what you're saying will come to fruition. I haven't seen it yet, but it certainly looks like a ZNGA floor to me. So maybe the timing is right for a little payback.

I agree. I especially agree with the first part of this article when Author Mr. Davis said, "I truly do not see much downside in silver left and think that when prices revert back toward the mean, SLW will move enormously higher." I'm doing my best to think positive, speak positive and hopefully to reap positive.

I can't see how ZNGA could be a sell at these prices. How much lower could it possibly go? $.30 or -10% at best. Why go through all the hastle when just sitting, doing nothing and waiting for ZNGA upper mgmt to get their act together so profits could once again begin rolling in! just MHO. ZNGA will someday soon be back in the winners circle.

So why did SLW even let FNV get in to secure a deal? Were negotiations behind closed doors without the knowledge of SLW? or didn't SLW want to get in early for some reason?

  • Silver Wheaton Acquires A Major Silver Stream  [View article]
Silver prices will be going higher as soon as industry gets off its butt and starts using the silver produced. There are so many ways to use silver in industry. Here are 4 of them.

Here are 4 of the most fascinating uses for silver you may have never thought about.

    1. Photovoltaic technology is taking off – and devouring silver.

Solar energy, until recently, has been expensive to harness and too weak and undependable to replace combustible energy sources. That is changing with advances in photovoltaic cells, which convert sunlight into electricity at the atomic level. Solar panels contain photovoltaic cells or photons of light which transform electrons into direct current carriers. Silver is incredibly conductive, so it is printed onto the cells to carry the current. Its reflective properties are also put to use in the solar panels to harness sunlight. With these advances, solar energy is rapidly becoming a serious contender in the energy market. And, as this technology continues to develop, the industry’s need for silver will skyrocket.

    2. Silver does a body good

Silver has many medical applications. Silver is anti-bacterial, therefore it is very useful where sterilization is crucial or infection is a risk. Endotracheal tubes, surgical equipment, catheters, hearing aids, wound dressings and antibacterial creams all use silver. Silver can even help kill “super bugs” like anti-biotic resistant MRSA. Its anti-bacterial properties are even useful in water filtration and purification.

    3. Ordinary electronics demand extraordinary amounts of silver!

Silver is highly conductive and is used in computers, keyboards, televisions, batteries, cell phones, calculators, cameras, watches, clocks, and microwave ovens. Silver is used to coat CDs and DVDs. It is used in wire soldering and even connecting plumbing pipes. These are just a few examples. If the economy takes off, all of these everyday items will be in high demand – as will the silver used to manufacture them.

    4. Mirror, mirror on the wall, what is the most promising precious metal of them all?

Silver is! Did you know that the vast majority of standard mirrors are manufactured using silver? A micro-thin layer of a silver nitrate is sprayed on treated glass to create the reflective surface. Think about all the mirrors you encounter every day, then, imagine the economy growing. Building and remodeling could pick up and then every new bathroom mirror, every new showroom, every new store mirror, and every decorative wall mirror everywhere uses a tiny bit of silver. It all adds up. Look in the mirror! That is silver demand looking right back at you.

The uses of silver are virtually endless. And we haven’t even discussed things like jewelry and silverware that showcase its shimmering beauty. It is truly an amazing metal that surrounds you every day in the most surprising places. And at today’s bargain basement prices, this glimmering white metal is even more alluring. http://bit.ly/1WxoSyV
