This Company Is Still Better Than Its Industry [View article]
I too am a member of this company for a number of years now, but holding on is challenging. I can't imagine that AA can't improve its position but of all the stocks out there, AA's stagnation cannot be blamed on management. The issue lies solely with this stinking economy.

IMHO - I feel SLW is already bottomed out and although it may vacillate for a bit, silver should slowly gain strength. Both should take off when the fiats start weakening and QE4-10 kick in.
Zynga After The U.K. Gambling Sites' Release [View article]
@Kronos - the information contained in this article as well as others are not negative in their reporting . . . they are factual. There is very little positive information out there on ZNGA and very little potential to report on. ZNGA has more head winds and hurdles to cross over that make it at best a day traders playing ground. ZNGA is a $2.80 stock that is now way over priced. Where they go will depend on the hype they receive from those that fail to look at the facts. Most of the positive SA discussions that are presented are hopes and dreams that are in the other side of that half full glass. Articles that pass through the SA data base will only have -0- to minimal affect on the stock value of ZNGA or other stocks. Keep your eyes on the market and you can look back to see whether or not these ZNGA articles were hyped or factual.
Alcoa Outlook After Q1 Earnings: Aluminum Weakness Still Overshadows Downstream Success [View article]
eWhisperer in his article wrote, " A move below $8 would give us a technical target for a move just below $7 with $8 as the new resistance" suggesting a new AA floor. Wonder how could two articles find such different persuasions?
e Whisperer just posted in his article that A move below $8 would give us a technical target for a move just below $7 with $8 as the new resistance, maybe suggesting a new AA floor.
The Whispers For Alcoa Are More About Debt Than Earnings This Quarter [View article]
eW - "This had led to expectations that Moody's will downgrade Alcoa's debt to junk status, making the company the only non-investment grade company included in the Dow Jones average and that, in turn, is expected to eventually lead to the stock's removal from the index." . . . . O really!!
"A move below $8 would give us a technical target for a move just below $7 with $8 as the new resistance" Is this your forecast?

Appeared to be more of a score card of past known events than an SA article. Did you intend a direction with this article? if so, what is it? stating your clear cut Direction & conclusion leaving us with a thought to ponder would help!
More on Alcoa's (AA) Q1 results: Operating results were aided by an income tax benefit and positive impact of mark-to-market changes on energy contracts. Reaffirms 2013 aluminum demand growth of 7%; reduces its surplus projection for aluminum to 155K metric tons from 535K in Q4, driven by curtailments. Sees strong aluminum demand for airplanes. After an initial pop, shares -1.3% AH. [View news story]
Gotta love it when you get positive news of increased usage, then "after an initial pop shares -1.3%"
Alcoa (AA +0.5%) is losing its accuracy as a bellwether for the U.S. stock market: The S&P 500 usually had followed AA’s, but the relationship broke down starting in 2011, when the S&P posted gains of ~3% in quarters even when AA's results hurt its stock. In fact, AA is now the Dow's least influential member, with a price weighting of 0.4%, as its market cap has dropped 74% since 2002 to ~$9B. [View news story]
I personally think that it's all due to the economy. When the economy picks up, aluminum is used. With a dead economy, existing no growth inventory suffices.

It's articles that keep me long AA. I definitely feel that AA has found its floor. I really don't think that they are comfortable on the floor watching TV, but I just wish they'd get up and get going. But can't do much with the economy dragging in the mud either.
Ed - I agree with your conclusion 100%. ZNGA has a lot of hurdles to overcome before they see profits. Charts don't lie and don't exaggerate the facts and don't voice an opinion. They simply say what it is. ZNGA has lost its Zing
