  • Has Silver Wheaton Underperformed Bullion Producers? [View article]
SLW might be performing better than silver, but there's only so much that can be profited from SLW until silver prices increase. There's a ceiling for every room in the house and SLW has pretty much reached theirs.

Aricool - I agree about the physical cost to mine being around $10, but hadn't considered that much of what's mined is a by-product. Good point.

  • Zynga: Should Value Investors Buy? [View article]
Seems like things are going to hover between $2.70 - $2.85 for awhile. I really don't think their minor changes to Words with Friends is going to make any difference.

Z can still be worked buying the lows and selling the highs until the breakout becomes a reality.

  • Has Zynga Lost Its Charm? [View article]
Still can't figure out what has caused Z to even fluctuate in value. They're doing nothing to create speculation or give rise to a hope in increased revenue. So what is making their value increase?

  • Another bloody day for gold mining stocks [View news story]
The glitter of gold is gone! and the shine of silver is no longer the selling point. Now somebody must find an industrial use for it or $1,000 gold and $15 silver is on the horizon. Since that's about what it costs in todays world to mine it, I can't imagine PMs getting much more cheaper than that.

  • Silver Wheaton misses by $0.01, misses on revenue [View news story]
It continues to be my position that someone must find additional uses for PMs on an industrial level. The fate of PMs has become evident and the glitter of gold & silver is no longer the selling point.

  • Can 'Words With Friends' Save Zynga? [View article]
There is definitely no reason to sell, but might be an opportunity to buy. Anything below $2.85 is a buy, the closer ZNGA gets to $2.25 the more I suggest re-loading. The question is when is it a good time to sell. Some have speculated that $3.35-$3.50 others are suggesting $4.35-$4.50. Whatever your flavor, ZNGA is not going anywhere soon. Personally, I'm long and holding for the $4.50 days again.

inkyx - then you are more confident than most. I have read that the next stop is $4.50 I think this speculation is also more confident than most.

  • Silver Wheaton declares $0.06 dividend [View news story]
As long as SLW keeps flipping their inventory, they're going to do just fine since there's already a built in profit in their contracts.

  • Premarket Gainers / Losers [View news story]
Well ZNGA got to $2.75 today, but the question I continue to have is what did ZNGA do to achieve any rise in value? They appear to be doing little to nothing to warrant any increase in value. I expect ZNGA value to remain dormant until they decide it's time to get to work.

  • Miner ETFs tumbled to multi-year lows today [View news story]
I purchased a property for a little over $100k actually (104k). After minor improvements, ($23k) the house is now worth a little over $150k. Gold is still in the doldrums with no positive signs on the horizon. I sold 80oz to buy this property. Had I held onto the gold my losses to date would have been about $10,400. That's a positive difference of a little over $37k in a year. If i sell the property at todays market price and only re-purchase the 80oz of gold for the $104k my profits would be an additional 9oz of gold.

I still don't feel a long on any PM is warranted at this point. There is plenty of floor below $15.83. There have been no new industrial uses planned for silver and obviously gold will never have any industrial use for a volume that would noticeably affect its value. Until there becomes some industrial use for silver over and above what is being used today, I say let stand by and watch her continued decline. There will be a floor for silver at around $10 or slightly below, which is what it costs to mine. The buyers will have to purchase and either store or use the existing silver market before it becomes necessary to mine more. Until that time, there's a glut in the marketplace and therefore not a time to buy. You might have noticed that Silver is now about 75:1 to gold. Historically that ratio has been 50:1 up to 60:1. If gold stays at $1178 then silver needs to be at around $19-$19.50 to even consider a buy IMHO

  • ZNGA: Signs Of Momentum Percolating [View article]
Can't argue with cheap. Can't bank on NaturalMotion. They've done nothing to add value. Hype and book value is all ZNGA has going for themselves right now. But that could change anytime with their cash and ZYNGA name potential.
