26 yrs of knowledge and experience in renewable energy (wind, solar) technologies, project development and climate change mitigation. When renewable energy was not cost competitive, I helped my clients buy NG and electricity. On 4/25/13, I was quoted on electric grid (T & D) reliability in the New York Times http://nyti.ms/10CnQ8T. I presented my 31st paper, "The Increase in Global Solar (PV. CSP) Caused by Extending the Kyoto Protocol Until 2030", at 2013 Solar Power International, October 21-24, Chicago. http://t.co/QLwkf28ABV This is a counterfactual analysis. I have now updating this paper for the 2015 Paris agreements. I now have a peer reviewed working paper, "The Levelized Cost (US$/MWh; €/MWh) of Storing PV (Wind) Electricity at a Grid-Connected Utility-Scaled (MW) Energy Storage System (ESS)". I did area studies (including energy) while in the USAR 308th CA GP (1968-74). At the U of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), I took math through diff Q and one year of both chemistry and physics. I have a UIC BA (1967), Northwestern MBA (1969) and past (1979) the IL CPA exam. I was a registered (1980-86) IL CPA. For 30 years, I was a tenured US Econ teacher. I am now investing for my retirement because my state university retirement annuity may be degraded by the governor and state legislature. Who knew?
