Asia Frontier Capital Ltd. is a pioneering fund management company that specializes in investing in high growth Asian frontier economies by managing the AFC Asia Frontier Fund, AFC Iraq Fund and AFC Vietnam Fund.
The investment objective of AFC Asia Frontier Fund is to achieve long term capital appreciation by investing in public equities of Asian frontier countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Iraq, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Sri Lanka, Vietnam) that are seeing increasing consumption due to favorable demographic trends, rising incomes and high GDP growth.

The fund emphasises long term investment horizon to truly capture the opportunity in Iraq. The fund's investable universe consists of locally listed companies that have their principal business activities in Iraq as well as foreign listed companies that have the majority of the business in Iraq as a whole including the prosperous Kurdish Region of Iraq (KRI). Power Hedge is an independent stock research and analysis firm with a passion for macro- and microeconomic analysis. Power Hedge focuses our research primarily on dividend-paying, international companies of all sizes with sustainable competitive advantages. Power Hedge is neither a permabear nor a permabull. However, we believe that, given the current structural problems in the United States, the best investment opportunities may lie elsewhere in the world. The firm's strategy is primarily buy and hold, but will stray from that strategy on occasion. Our ideal holding period is forever, however we realize that both internal and external forces can impact an investment. For this reason, we believe that it is vital to keep a close eye on all of your investments. We do not believe in changing an investment based on short-term market swings.
Traditionally, we have not always responded to comments but in order to improve the quality of our research, comments will be reviewed and we will respond to issues regarding errors or omissions. This does not include our premium service, "Renewable Energy Profits," which is available from the Seeking Alpha Marketplace. This service does include detailed discussions with our team both on the reports themselves and in a private forum.
My interest in Africa stems from a three-year volunteer term spent in the Southern African nation of Lesotho in the late 1990s. Like many other visitors to the region, I returned home a card-carrying Afrophile.
In the years since, I’ve sought to remain as engaged with the continent as possible. This has taken many forms. I’ve worked as a human rights advocate and writer, and, most recently, as an equity analyst and fund manager.
Through my blog, I attempt to spotlight African companies that contribute to human development while delivering market-beating returns to their investors.
I hail from the city of Como, northern Italy, well known for its beautiful lake. I began investing in 1999 as a speculator, with modest results. After reading many books on the matter, I now consider myself a value investor with a long term horizon. Besides investing I also enjoy playing chess online, contributing to Wikipedia and surfing the web always looking for something new to learn. My mother language is Italian, but I am fluent in English and improving my Russian and Spanish. If you like my articles please share them on your favorite network and don't forget to follow me !

I am a private investor residing in Singapore. I am interested in all kinds of markets and assets but my current views are that very few assets are currently undervalued at the moment.
The only market that I know that is clearly undervalued with good/improving fundamentals is Vietnam. Therefore, most of the posts here will be on Vietnamese stocks.

I'm an American (EEUU) by birth, but certainly a mutt by ethnicity. I prefer the Southern Hemisphere nowadays, and I try to spend time on at least 3 continents per year, in more than a few different countries. While there I explore intriguing social, investment, business and lifestyle opportunities.
I've been involved in everything from hydroponic farming operations in the tropics, to Internet marketing. I've tried my hand as a "professional" stock trader, financed start-ups, traded bananas in Peru, real estate in Panama, high-finance in Uruguay and worked with one of the first Vietnamese companies to list its shares publicly.
I enjoy travel, but much prefer the Four Season’s to a hut among the natives – unless they’re friendly. I plan to continue traveling, exploring and digesting as much culture and diversity as I can handle. My next adventure will likely be a small, self-sustaining community somewhere far away from the madness that is most of the world. If you’re lucky I’ll tell you where it is.

Dr. Kris has two degrees from MIT because one just wasn't enough. Her life goal was to figure out the universe and having done that (at least to her satisfaction), she decided to tackle something even more difficult—the stock market.
Applying the scientific method along with an insatiably curious mind, she began trading stocks, futures, and options in order to find the holy grail to market success. She's discovered to her immense satisfaction that not only is there one way to succeed but many. Combining her love of cooking with the stock market, she's devised recipes for investment success designed to please the palate of most investors. Dr. Kris currently manages a private equity long/short portfolio and writes of her current research projects that appear on her website, StockMarketCookBook.com.
Her most exciting project is applying market timing models to Modern Portfolio Theory to not only give greater returns but at substantially lower levels of risk. (See PortfolioPreserver.com for further information.)
