    I'm sure you're right, but I can't seem to get the same numbers.

    Here are my numbers for Apple:

    FROIC = 25% - Free cash flow 2013: $35 - Total Capital: $141

    Yield 2.3%
    Growth = FROIC * Reinvestment rate: .25 * .73 = 18%
    Yield + Growth 2.3 + 18 = 20.3%

    Free Cash Flow estimate per share: Free cash Flow $35 * 1.203 = 42.11

    Mycroft Free Cash Flow: $515/42.11 = 12.22

    -----------

    Can you please correct my numbers.\

    thanks

  • BlackBerry Vs. Apple: Which Is A Winning Bet For 2013? [View article]
    Unfortunately that's not how it works.
    If earnings are shrinking the stock is going anywhere.

    Apple needs needs to reform the way it communicates with investors. It's too secretive, that environment is not helping.

  • Where's The Hot Money Drained From Apple Stock? Can Behavioral Analysis Find It? [View article]
    And I take it, that an inflow of $40 billion from Apple, would not have the same impact as $20 billion from a few hedge funds?

    Peter,
    So it took $7.5 billion or so in draw down to reduce the value of AAPL. So what will it take in dollar terms to do the opposite?

  • Apple (AAPL) is upgraded to Buy by BTIG's Walter Piecyk, who makes the move acknowledging the company is set to report an ugly Q1 miss and soft guidance. Piecyk notes he made his April 2012 downgrade ahead of what was surely going to be (and was) a blowout quarter. Shares +1.1% premarket. [View news story]
    This makes the whole story worthless. Like much of these stories that are propagating online.

  • IDC dials up its 2013 tablet forecast by another 11%, this time to 190.9M units. The popularity of smaller tablets is a big reason why - the firm estimates half of Q1 shipments will involve sub-8" devices. Android (GOOG) is now expected to be the most popular OS - IDC forecasts a 48.8% share, up from a prior estimate of 41.5%. The iPad (AAPL) is seen having 46% of the market, and Windows 8/RT (MSFT) just 4.7%. 2017 shipments (not an easy thing to predict) are seen totaling 350M. IDC expects PC shipments to fall 1.3% in 2013 to 345.8M units. (Q4 figures[View news story]
