  • Fresh images of Nokia's (NOK -3.3%) Lumia 928 (reportedly due to hit Verizon this month) indicate the presence of a PureView camera (relative to the 920). Nokia is counting on the 928 to lift flagging U.S. sales - while Lumia sales rose in Q1 in most international markets, Nokia's U.S. device sales (Lumia-driven) fell to 400K, down 33% Y/Y and also below Q4's 700K. The images arrive shortly after the FT reported Nokia plans to launch a phablet and (backing up a prior report) a Lumia with a 40MP PureView sensor. Separately, images of Nokia's rumored "Catwalk" aluminum Lumia phone have leaked in China[View news story]
I hope the "Catwalk" model is carried by AT&T. I think this is the phone I've been waiting for. I really hope this is not an exclusive phone for T Mobile. I won't change carriers.

  • Nokia: There Is No Need To Panic [View article]
I was in an AT&T store yesterday. In the from of the store was the iPhone 5, HTC One, a variety of Samsung Galaxies and other Android phones. I was looking for the Windows 8 phones. I found them in the back end of the store almost behind the sales counter next to an older iPhone 4. What's up with that????

  • BlackBerry Or Nokia - Which Is A Better Turnaround Story? [View article]
I wonder if India's love for Nokia phones and the fact that so many corporations outsource their IT departments to India now will have any influence on them switching from BlackBerry devices to Nokia Lumia devices... Not saying it will happen, but it could be something to think about.

  • Buy Nokia Hand Over Fist [View article]
I have no shares of any stock, but I am considering NOKIA because I've been doing a lot of reading and following these articles as well as everyone's follow up comments. Most make very solid points to consider. This article and post gives a lot of behind scenes info, which is important to consider. I believe the Nokia Windows phones are excellent and only getting better. With Verizon about to release the Nokia 928 flagship phone we may see a turning point in US sales. Verizon has a strong loyalty as a carrier and the iPhone does not have the capability to talk and use internet simultaneously on Verizon, this Nokia phone does. It is also much easier to learn than Android. Carriers allow people to return a phone within two weeks if they don't like it. I think if they give it a chance they will love it. Rumors are that AT&T will be getting a phone with a supreme camera, not matched by any other phone maker. Again, with the rate that young people take pictures today, that could be a big selling point for this device. I think this year is going to make or break the Nokia Windows phones in the US. I believe they have a very good chance of success.
