  • Weak Economy Will Hit Markets, Lift Gold And Some Miners [View article]
Monetary sanity. I like it. The info. has been torqued into shape for a planned market rescue that corporate king pins were prepared to make a profit on. There is much happening between lines.

    Gold/Silver a buy yet?

Does anyone have a thought about a "stop" on FNMA? It's doing well, but can that continue? Lots of movement all over the place and we're lost in the conversation at this point.

May 13, 2013. Markets getting more erratic, extremes of 'prediction' continue with the manipulation central site Market Watch featuring a report that Dow 15 "only the beginning".... this despite the crushing economic crisis making global impacts.

Not sure will buy TZA back ... yet. But may look for a buy in point at under 33..

  • Precious Metal Royalties: The New Landscape [View article]
SLW missed earnings by 0.2 cents and missed on revs. Put this here as the media failed to adequately report on their earnings on the 10th. Conference Call May 13 2013 here: http://bit.ly/10lvtxi

Seeing a lot more media complicity in floating share prices around up or down during key periods. This one could have hurt many people. Etrade for example listed their earnings report as May 13, 2013, so unless their customers took more time to investigate they would have waited to act on what will likely be a drop in share price at least for the time being. Their news of "strong earnings" dominated after earnings into the weekend up until about ten minutes ago when this was posted by Briefings.com.

Silver Wheaton SLW: "Reports Q1 (Mar) earnings of $0.38 per share, $0.02 worse than the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.40; revenues rose 3.1% year/year to $205.8 mln vs the $243.43 mln consensus. Attributable silver equivalent production of 8.0 mln ounces (6.3 mln ounces of silver and 32,200 ounces of gold) compared to 6.7 mln ounces in Q1 2012, representing an increase of 20%. Silver equivalent sales of 6.9 mln ounces (6.0 mln ounces of silver and 16,900 ounces of gold) compared to 6.1 mln ounces in Q1 2012, representing an increase of 13%. Amended Dividend Policy The co's Board has amended the existing dividend policy in order to decrease the volatility in the dividend that is caused by the timing of silver and gold sales. Commencing immediately, the quarterly dividend per common share will be equal to 20% of the average cash generated by operating activities in the previous four quarters, divided by the co's outstanding common shares at the time the dividend is approved, all rounded to the nearest cent. This new policy will be implemented gradually. As a transitionary measure, the second quarterly dividend being announced today has been calculated using the average cash generated by operating activities for the trailing two quarters (fourth quarter of 2012 and first quarter of 2013). The third quarterly dividend in 2013 will be calculated using the average cash generated by operating activities for the trailing three quarters (fourth quarter 2012, first quarter 2013 and second quarter 2013), after which future quarterly dividends will be calculated using the average cash generated by operating activities for the trailing four quarters. As a result of the amended dividend policy, a $0.12 per common share quarterly dividend will be paid to holders of record of Silver Wheaton's common shares on May 23, 2013, and distributed on or around May 31, 2013. Under the previous dividend policy, the payout would have been equal to 20% of the cash generated by operating activities in the first quarter of 2013, or $0.09 per common share".

  • FuelCell Energy: An Overlooked Bright Spot [View article]
Speculative, we wondered what the problem was in terms of the stock being stuck in a range under 1.20. Turned out it was the utility monopoly. For Dominion to be the co. that FCEL works with may reassure some who worry about powering cooling for nuclear power plants. Others however simply will not invest in anything related to or in proximity with nuclear energy. We are in the group that worries that Fuel Cell back up power could "liberate" nuclear plant operators and free the world from worry about another Fukushima.

But Fuel Cells cannot prevent earth quake damage in Japan or other nations. So that's the conundrum that we saw FCEL slip into. Sad as it should be utilized as a separate stand alone power source and that should be the dominant story line.

Maybe it's a bad job on Fuel Cell's part but we had shares, sold them. Bought a small amt. back for sake of potential for truly alternative energy. That's the goal.

"Latest News 8:53a Gold futures sink as U.S. dollar soars" -- timing market? Manipulative headline? Market Watch seems to us to do this all the time and ahead of trade.. If you watch their "futures" indices they turn from positive to negative. One second they are in the plus 200 points, next negative 200 points.

  • Low Silver Prices Will Dull Silver Wheaton's Earnings [View article]
If sites like Market Watch were regulated so they could not present information about gold/silver or securities or bonds "ahead of the trade" in the way that they do, Wall St. would operate more fairly for individual investors. They seem to us to offer headlines such as: "Latest News 8:53a Gold futures sink as U.S. dollar soars" at times coinciding with short covering/short trade and options schedules... this obviously helps hedge fund mangers complete short trades. Given that regulators found complicity between media and traders engaging in insider trading/use of super computers to manipulate trades, we should be wary.

Often Market Watch presents two headlines at the same time, one noting a rise in Gold or other, another noting a fall. They have the strangest "news" site...

  • FuelCell Energy: An Overlooked Bright Spot [View article]
I suspect the short sellers (especially in state hedge fund managers) want to buy FCEL at 0.50 cents a share. They want to tank it and then clean up when it rises on income from plant operations and sales.

That unfortunately determines the company's future since failure on WS will make them vulnerable to a sale. Did I mention that hedge funds are watching?

Thanks a lot. We will take your estimate seriously as no one else seems to know what to make of the rise in solar. We'll look at their income from operations, leasing, and sales, and hope to see another announcement of contract.

  • Gold Mining Sector - A Window Of Value Ready To Close [View article]
Media is causing us to fail in markets in general as we ponder concern more than we probably should. Even so, the drop in metals pricing seems to follow the Fed's meeting on continued stimulus. If the Fed wishes to limit precious metals across the board in order to try to get more cash into markets that would seem to me to be our cue for an exit strategy. There is that saying. Don't fight the Fed.. and the Fed chief mentioned something about this year not being typical in terms of the calendar, the May sell off.

There are also huge bond issues and interest rate, inflation concerns. But those expressing concern may just be trying to push market prices down, wanting to obtain a short sell benefit.

Factoring all of this in I find myself wondering whether or not its time to take small profit and run. --This despite what the charts may say would be typical.

The super computers are stealing my profits. Who do I call? We can watch their algorithms pump pump pump at measured no. all the way down as they insert rows of same trade no's to push down SLW, IAU, our only two precious metal trades.
