  • Target's long lines get dissected [View news story]
Definitely don't agree with this opinion. I shop at Target quite frequently, and they always add cashier's if lines start growing. I do see this tactic at WalMart and a few other retailers.

  • Gilead Sciences: Will It Double Your Money Again In 2014? [View article]
I'll be satisfied with $100/share this year. Very reasonable expectation. Great drugs in the pipeline to keep Gilead a growth stock. At least we have something tangible here, unlike a company like Google, which is valued 3x as much as Gilead.

  • Athersys: Remarkable Treatment For Ischemic Stroke Feasibly On The Way [View article]
Very informative article for the uneducated in Athersys and MultiStem. My own research has resulted in this being the largest position in my portfolio. 2014 will be a defining year, and I feel $10/shr is well within range.

  • Santarus' Impressive Margins, High ROIC, And Low Financial Risk Boost Upside Potential [View article]
Technically, the stock is weak. But that is the glass is half empty synopsis. The fundamentals are great for Santarus, and I have personally been accumulating down here. I continue to research message boards and blogs from people using Uceris, and I'm greatly impressed. Do you do more than technical analysis? This will be more of a block buster than initially thought. Did you see the revenue guidance increase? I would not short here, at the worst, I'd hold. Don't let an insider sale sway you, he was up 100%, and maybe wanted to build a new home? Who knows! No matter what, I wait until seeing November 4 earnings before doing anything!

  • Where's The Economic Growth? [View article]
Honestly, the market is overbought in my opinion. I've sold most equities, and I'm planning on an overdue 10% market correction. This may start now, or it may start in April. But it is coming, mark my words.

  • Questcor's Acthar Is One Hot Drug [View article]
Hey root, let's see you create the mixture of these drugs to help people in the way Questcor has. It can't be done, or others would. Also, the number of people requiring this drug are highly limited, therefore the Orphan Drug status. It's expensive to create a working drug, I'm talking multi-millions. When a company succeeds in getting it right, creating a drug that works, everyone bitches on the cost. Ask the people taking this drug if they would like it removed because it cost too much. Do you realize investment in new drugs would come to a halt, if there was no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for those that succeed?? These working drugs take 15 years of creation through trials to gain approval from the FDA. Do you realize the ratio of drug failures, to the successful launch of drugs? Try 1000:1. I'm sick of the shorts beating down successful companies to make a buck. Do you think shorting Hedge funds have the users of these drugs best interest at heart?
I think not! Good day, Sir!

  • Spectrum Could Sink On Aqaziquone Failure [View article]
I am extremely long on SPPI, next week will speak for itself. We are added to S&P's small cap index, and we have earnings beating expectations.

  • Spectrum's Fusilev Sales Will Suffer As Leucovorin Shortage Is Eliminated [View article]
The more I read SA articles, the more I firmly believe authors for SA always write based on a personal agenda. Gefvert eluded to the fact he was considering a "Short" position in SPPI. I don't think there is any doubt that is his plan. Nothing new here, and poorly put together.

  • Gilead's October Events Should Drive The Stock To The Next Leg Of Consolidation [View article]
I watched the bashers and shorters demolish Questcor, and I sold with the herd. Missed a great opportunity, because I stayed out. Questcor was a one drug wonder, and you all know the story. Gilead is a multi-drug wonder, and people try to bash in some of the same ways. I know there's no more correlation than this, but Gilead will buy back shares, continue to invest in new drugs, and continue to make a large amount of money. Today's news just added to my beliefs. This is a market dip, and a time to BUY!

  • Will The Third Time Be A Charm For MannKind? Leading Fund Managers Definitely Think So [View article]
Opinions are varying here, depending if you are long or short on the stock. IMO, very scary position to be in this short. Probability very high for approval, then almost surely we will partner or be purchased. My bet is we are purchased. I could spell out the analysis on this, but if you own the stock, you already know the reasons why. Next few weeks will be interesting!

  • Paul Ryan: Ideas for reducing poverty [View news story]
Over the last 80 years, welfare has grown and expanded within this country. It no way resembles what the original purpose of design brought forth. We now have multiple generations of families teaching their youth by example how to live off the government. Entitlement is a hard thing to change. We need gradual change, slowly weening those off of food, housing, and clothing that is just given to them. A direction of work for entitlement needs to be developed. If they say they don't have childcare to spend time working, then a method of job share needs to be developed. 20 hours a week working, and the other 20 hours in the week caring for the children of those working. There is no reason why able bodied people can not do their part to support themselves. Save welfare for the disabled, handicapped and elderly, who can not.
