    This is a bit off the subject:

    Where do you guys get the dough to pay the annual taxes on the dividends and mutual fund capital gains?? most of these discussions seem to ignore the income tax issues especially when looking at the long term picture.

    Thank you for this article. We are in exactly the same situation that you were in. It looks as though the initial hurdle is actually figuring out what each of the mutuals are actually doing. Value line has the "Value Line Fund Advisor" which seems to be available for considerably less than morning star, and I am considering getting it since we are some distance from the nearest Library that has Morning Star.

  • Don't look now but shares of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR +2.6%) have shot right past $50 and continue to trek higher as many of the dire predictions from the bear camp seem to be falling away - in particular the death-by-Verismo argument.     Good point. For whatever reason, international sales were not even mentioned at the annual meeting yesterday.
