  • Shares of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM +15%) are surging on no specific news today. Piper initiated the shares with an Overweight earlier this week - which gave the stock a +9% pop - citing optimism over its two novel cancer drug candidates, bavituximab and Cotara. Further data on overall survival rates for bavituximab are expected to be presented at an upcoming scientific meeting later this year. [View news story]
Here is the "no specific news":

Remember the shorts that drove it down from $1.75 to 0.80? They covered hard and fast at the end of November on "no specific news".

They drove it down again from February 12th onward. They are now covering (again) in light of the upcoming earnings report rather than risk being blown out of the water by an update on PPHM's Sept. 2012 sabotage by BP.

    It's that simple folks.

  • Why These 4 Biotechs Could Be Next In Line To See Their Share Prices Rise [View article]
Congrats my friend. You are among the first to recognize the investment potential of PPHM. Thankfully the hedge funds who were too stupid to recognize this opportunity have had time to drive the price down (again) and fill themselves on the stock. They will now begin to pump the stock just as relentlessly as they bashed it via SA & Motley Fool.

  • Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM +8.7%) regains some yesterday's decline after the company was featured in a pessimistic article in Seeking Alpha. The stock actually began its fall on Monday, but was exacerbated yesterday by the SA piece by contributor Robert Schwartz, who noted that PPHM's lead drug candidate, bavituximab, has had twelve Phase-I/-II studies and treated 613 cancer patients but has yet to observe a statistically significant improvement over a contemporary standard-of-care. Schwartz thinks its time to throw in the towel. [View news story]
The imaginary Mr. Swartz was a hedge fund creation and a stolen photo. Sorry if you bought into that horse ship.

  • Peregrine Pharmaceuticals' Bavituximab: It's Time To Throw In The Towel [View article]
The article did nothing. The erosion you've seen is part of the longest bear raid (14 days and counting) on record for a bio.

Ask yourself why 14 days passed before a single negative article emerged. Even a blind pig (sorry Robert) could recognize what's taking place regarding this stock before March news emerges.

The bottom line is that Tutes & HFs want in at half price and they are taking it down. Robert is merely standing in as puppet while their chosen one (AF) takes a break.

    Get a clue folks...before it's too late.

I would have to rate this as the worst financial commentary of the year with regard to a bio. You are advocating to sell while every hedge fund, institution, & market maker is attempting to acquire this stock.

Kudos! Hopefully The Street offers you a retirement package with plenty of perks.

  • Peregrine Recovers As Phase II Trial Is Salvaged [View article]
Nice article Brian. It's refreshing to see something written about Peregrine that is balanced. I for one am sick of the hatchet job articles that we've been reading for the past 3 1/2 months.

    PPHM shareholder since 0.80.

  • Peregrine Recovers As Phase II Trial Is Salvaged [View article]
You sound like a long time PPHM investor who always bought in at the wrong time. Do you honestly believe that developing something so novel can be done in a matter of years? It takes trial & error (and alot of error). Looks like you were simply unfortunate enough to own it through ALL of the error period with no success. Does that mean it will never achieve a victory? No...it means you simply picked the wrong time to own shares.

It appears that you (like many others) picked lousy times to speculate on this stock.

That was almost as good as a bash article as the last one written by Adam Fraudstain. Congratulations; your article actually included a small degree of logic whereas Fraudstain's contained zero logic.

  • The Approaching Arena Battle [View article]
Great article! I've been predicting the same thing for months: Once institutions own 70% or more of the stock it will be allowed to run. Jim Cramer has now taken a neutral stance (as opposed to his more recent bashing stance). Watch for Jim to become the pumping boy of choice for institutions with regard to ARNA in the very near future.

  • Why Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Should Be A Double From Here [View article]
Nice call. I wouldn't have touched it with my worst enemy's money but a tiny handful of fools & insiders were able to benefit from this pop. Unfortunately for every investor who won on this stock today several hundred lost money.

Now Richard Pascoe can pass peacefully into involuntary retirement. I cannot anyone with factual background information offering the guy a job.

  • Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Beats Earnings Estimates [View article]
Nice article and light years ahead of the LIES that Adam F. of The Street was spreading about this company and it's CEO last week.

Here is my take on PPHM as of yesterday:

Delisting has been removed from the table as of yesterday.
    Increased revenue projections
    Decreased spending
Previous partnerships still in place & on hold
Actively seeking new partner for Cotara
and last but far from least
*****Data is currently being salvaged from recent trial and they intend to use it to argue their case before the FDA. This news was by far the most important given to investors since the Sept. 24th fiasco took place.

  • Hedge Funds Are Bullish About These Stocks [View article]
If you are a follower of Adam Fraudstain (and apparently you are) you need to reevaluate why you are on his staff. Hopefully, you have taken his advice on ARNA as well. He's been bashing that stock since it was below $1.50 and continues to do so. How is that trade working for Adam's followers? Answer: ARNA has traded as high as $12 and now resides over $9. As soon as institutions have dumped their VVUS shares and acquired 70% or more of ARNA it will double again.

  • Hedge Funds Are Bullish About These Stocks [View article]
They are so bullish in PPHM that they have hired Adam & his ants to tour the country bashing both the comany & the CEO 24/7. A fresh new hit piece appeared yesterday in less than one hour after PPHM issued good news. Their tactics are doing wonders for forcing retailers to hand over shares.

  • Biotech Weekly Recap: Loads Of Bullishness, 2 Giant Rallies, And Selling [View article]
Management stated in the CC that they would announce something around the end of the year. Would you want to be caught off guard in December if you were short millions of shares?
