  • Bank of America (BAC) shareholders better familiarize themselves with Article 77, writes Mark Palmer, as it's possible the $8.5B the bank has reserved to handle claims against Countrywide MBS will be woefully small. At issue is an Article 77 proceeding set to begin May 30 at which a judge could toss the $8.5B settlement. The number might then reach as high as $60.5B, writes Palmer - about 24% of the bank's book value. [View news story]
MBS is just fine with the $8.5 settlement, the judge wont change a thing. BAC has settled most suits for 10 to 20 cents on the dollar this whole time. BAC should have bankrupted Countrywide years ago and still might if they feel like it. So Palmer is your short underwater by....50%...oops!!!!!

  • Bank Of America Has Failed Shareholders [View article]
Everyone was saying BAC was going to raise the dividend to 4 cents per qtr...and I felt will so what... 1%... dont bother...with this share buyback we got 4% share increase in one day....We'll be at $14 if we can earn 23 cents in the 1st qtr. I think in a year from now and BAC makes a dollar earnings, the dividend will be 12cents a qtr and you'll wish you'd have bought now.

  • Will Legal Problems Bury Bank Of America? [View article]
A bigger question is why if the present management is so smart, they didnt bankrupt Countrywide 3 years ago, and save $40 billion dollars! Its obvious that BAC did NO due delligence on buying Countrywide in the first place.

  • Bank Of America And 'The Pain Ahead' [View article]
BAC has sold over 25 Billion worth of business's in the last 3 years.
Of course revenue is down, in light of this, if it was up Bac would be trading at $50. The flat and uncertain economy, and crybaby lawsuits are the only thing holding up BAC.

Bingo, Its sad you don't know its our government that relaxed the lending standards and encouraged all lending institutions to lend money to everyone with any job. Blame our government and millions of greedy people who wanted what they couldn't pay for...Not these banks.

  • More Reasons To Buy Bank Of America Shares Now [View article]
Great article...Theirs another writer on Seeking Alpha, groverser? that disagrees with me on BAC debt .At the beginning of the year their financial statement said it was $420 billion, and they've paid it down to $302 billion in 6 months he says their debt is 100x this. I say they could pay it off in 2 years. Romney=$20 BAC share price in 2013!!!

  • Bank Of America Is Worst Of Breed And Overvalued [View article]
Its funny no one mentions that BAC could be debt free in less than 2 years at the rate their going. All that interest would go to earnings, just think in 2 years, 20 billion along with all the other reductions and housing problems much better...I think Bac could earn almost $2 in 2014 and see over $30 share price again.

  • While BofA (BAC) paid just $2.5B to buy Countrywide four years ago, the deal has since cost the bank over $40B in real-estate losses, legal expenses and settlements with state and federal agencies, the WSJ reported on Friday. BofA could face further legal liabilities $5B as lawsuits rage across the country.

Ken Lewis spent a few days if they spent any discovery time at all in the decision to buy Countrywide. He wanted to be king of the largest company in the USA. He didnt check into Merrill either. His incredible ego fueled this, and the yes men directors just showed how incompetent they are. They have 12 more directors that should have been fired long ago. I just dont understand why BAC didnt bankrupt on Countrywide 2 to 3 years ago.

Where in the world do you get a conclusion of 30% down from what you just wrote? Come election time this country will have renewed
confidence to both hire and spend. Between October and March the stock market should be growing very well and BAC will be at the top
    of the Dow...EZ $12-by then...

  • Why Citigroup Is Set To Fall Like Netflix [View article]
Citi doesnt make any money on chkg accts with balances under $1000 anyway. They wont even have 1% of accts leave, and if they do great...Also people have been depositing cash into all banks like the 1950's the last 2 years, to the point they have more cash than they know what to do with. These fees will only help not hurt...Citi will be $100 in 3-4 yrs.
