  • The War Sprint Can't Afford [View article]
skibimamex - the current iPhone 5S still only supports dual-band LTE (1900/800). If the next iPhone 6(?) finally has tri-band support, then we will see the tipping point for Sprint Spark user penetration.

New subscriber plans and new marketing combined with the new iPhone this fall can mark Sprint's turnaround.

  • Update: Sprint - A New Era Without T-Mobile [View article]
I disagree with the author's statement that Sprint does not make a "compelling short-term investment case." One year ago, Softbank bought more struggling Sprint shares on the open market when it was around $6.70, boosting its ownership stake to 80% from 78%. Now, Softbank can easily do the same today at an even bigger discount (below $6).

  • American Capital Agency Had A Tremendous Q2 2014, But Was It A Flash In The Pan? [View article]
AGNC's stock "tanked" due to a better-than-expected U.S. GDP report and rising U.S. Treasury yields. • Update: An Impressive Quarter For American Capital Agency Corp [View article]
I am surprised that AGNC is still trading this morning at 10% discount to June 30 book value. Meanwhile, U.S. Treasuries continue to remain stable with the yield much lower than last year's end.

I see a possibility of Zynga later being bought out for its large number of fremium poker players.
