  • QCOM and possibly NXPI shut out of S6; CRUS, INVN, SWKS, AVGO in (updated) [View news story]
Tim Cooks involvement in politics and social issues will be the downfall of the company, and I am sure Samsung will be there to scoop up that market share. I also wonder how much of a boost Corning will get with their gorilla glass being used in this new S6.

  • Dallas hospital worker tests positive for Ebola [View news story]
I disagree, cutting off all air travel to the African nations is an effective barrier between the virus and the American people. Isolation does not mean we wouldn't help. We would still keep our 4000 troops there to help contain the spread of the virus and lend aid where we could. Of course, not all Africans fly directly to the US, so banning travel from the European countries would have to be considered as well. I am much more worried about our unprotected southern border. If South American countries should become infected in densely populated areas such as Mexico City, it will be almost impossible to prevent the spread of the disease from entering the United States. As days go by and more people are infected, the genetic structure of the virus becomes smarter and will find better ways to infect such as longer incubation periods or airborne transmission. There is no easy solution to this problem.

  • Hershey Company: A Wide Moat Dividend Growth Stock To Hold Forever [View article]
Best comment so far. Picking exact entries is for traders, entering a lifetime position is for investors. After a couple of splits and continual dividend growth, I really don't see how it would matter whether you got it at the current price or a little lower.

  • Why Mattel Is A Buy At $35 [View article]
Lego does very well with their business model. Not only do they produce toys that kids like, but also toys that adults like to collect. And they manage to incorporate these toys into and from movies. They also have theme parks and specialized Lego stores. Maybe Mattel should try to implement some of these strategies into their business model.
