  • Less-than-$50 oil will change the world, economists say [View news story]
C'mon don't be so gullible. An increase in carbon will more likely result in greater crop productivity and a greening of the earth, than global warming which has not occurred as predicted, which renders the scientific theory invalid.
The reports of the earth's demise have been greatly exaggerated...

they deserve it. they ramped up production in the face of oversupply to drive out weaker players. looks like their plan has backfired.

Jerry LOL at your childish response. Funny that all you can say is "lol" and that you stand on "science and facts", yet you don't tell me where my science and facts are wrong. If anything I wrote was laughable, you should easily be able to point it out. More proof that you guys have no idea what you are talking about.

    1. No warming in 17 years. FACT
    2. Atmospheric composition is 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, .93 percent argon, and .036 CO2. There is about 30 times more argon in the atmosphere than CO2!!!! (a trace gas). FACT

In the U.S. we have had a very cold winter, followed by one of the coolest summers I can remember (anecdotal yes, but further proof that the climate alarmist model was wrong). And in science, when the model is broken, it is thrown out.

If only CO2 were "dirty" you would be right. CO2 represents only .04 of 1 percent of the atmosphere and only a small fraction of that amount can be attributed to human activity. The more CO2 we produce the greener the planet gets from increased plant and ocean life activity. There is no noticeable increase in the temperature of the Earth for the last 17 years despite the fact that man is burning more fossil fuels now than ever. The fact is that the rest of the world could care less about CO2 emissions (see Australia (repeal of carbon tax), Europe and Japan (moving away from nuclear and increasing coal), China, India, etc). President Obama is the only one obsessed with wrecking the U.S. economy in favor of aiding campaign supporters that stand to benefit from govt subsidies and punitive regs on coal.

You have no idea what you are talking about and shouldn't be giving investment advice. You should stick to liberal political sites and leave investing to people that are interested in facts.

  • Coal stocks bouncing, but FBR analyst remains cautious heading int earnings [View news story]
I am not a conspiracy guy but it is weird how every time coal stocks go up, it's like clockwork, some analyst comes right out and downgrades or makes negative comments. Never fails.

BLAKE, really? you sure you're responding to the right post? I thought "chuckles" post was one of the most sober, coherent posts I've seen on SA in some time. If the miners can survive till 2016, they will be a once in a lifetime investing opportunity based on the return of free market principles.

mwin, you sound like a parrot spouting a bunch of mindless liberal talking points. coal keeps the lights and the refrigerator on for the poorest people. solar and wind rely on fed subsidies and are useless when the wind is not blowing and sun is not shining.

you mention the Koch brothers... I ask you, why do you think just about all the other billionaires support leftist (communist) agendas? Is it that they are all nice people and they want the world to be a nice place? Why is it that uber-rich oligarch billionaires love socialism so much? Think about it.
