Sadly that is true and with the crash not that long ago people will still overreact when somebody peddles fear.

  • Is Kinder Morgan's Dividend Safe? [View article]
Yeah I own both KMI and KMP and just trying to stay on top of how good of a deal it will be for me. I am long but just want to make sure the deal is fair(for market value) for the KMP side of my investment.

Sarcasm right? Regardless, kinder has made people a nice chunk of change and IMO will continue to do so...I am long. In all honesty Cramer helped bring Kinder to my attention years ago and one of his interviews with him reinforced that.

Taxes aside if the deal closed at current market values would it be fair for KMP and EPB folks? Thanks in advance.

  • Freeport McMoRan downgraded at Stifel, Grasberg export restart is priced in [View news story]
I have found that when companies get crapped on by speculation or short attacks I buy. They often offer short term cheapness in the stock. I did it with JPM during the "white whale", with Linn and Kinder during Hedgeeye attacks, may even do it here or even with GM. In each case mentioned I have made good money. Patience, discipline, and knowing what you own goes a long way.

  • KMP an after-tax loser in Kinder consolidation deal, Wells Fargo says [View news story]
I own KMI and KMP. The KMI side of me is very happy...the KMP side would like to see the pot sweetened a bit. My tax bill won't be too bad especially when you consider future growth and div growth. I can see, however, those that have held KMP for many years being on the hook for quite the bill they weren't yet ready to pay.

Is this dmg control? Or some sort of ego thing? I guess I should thank you guys cause every time you attack a company the shares drop some...then I buy. So far it has always led to nice profits.

  • Kinder Morgan In $44B Mega Deal To Combine [View article]
There really isn't an MLP the size of Kinder morgan. I took it as the MLP structure isn't as efficient when you get that big. If you are a smaller company it may work well but there are still costs that can hinder growth(large distributions).
