  • ModernGraham Valuation Of Gilead Sciences [View article]
Back in the 1970s when I first became aware of Ben Graham, the fund so named was invested in 90% treasuries because there were no stocks that met the criteria. This has only grown more true and the market has left this criteria far behind, despite the solidly strong criteria it is. An investor who followed his criteria would have been out of the market since then. All this said, I know nothing about the Modern Graham valuation. GILD has been very sweet for me and I am overweight in it selling covered calls to pay for it.

  • Paul Ryan: Not Qualified to Chair the House Budget Committee [View article]
Pragmatic Capitalism, Mr. Roche's company must espouse the phrase "kick the can down the road!" That is the pragmatic thing to do, print dollars forever. Greece cannot print money only in like manner, Illinois cannot print money. Greece is a member state of the EU and the EU can print money; maybe that is their solution too. I am wondering where the 'Unfollow' button is.

I read yesterday that $50 trillion in unfunded liabilities will be paid out in the next 20 years as the baby boomers begin to retire and draw on government social programs, unless changes are made today.

Let's be pragmatic, get rid of Ryan, elect another community organizer president, appoint Cullen to the Fed and just print money forever. Don't worrry, the DOW will be $1M, and a loaf of bread will cost a bag of gold.
