I am a 40-something entrepreneur and executive, managing my own portfolio. I have been an Internet entrepreneur, founding and running VC-backed companies. For a little less than ten years I managed several global lines of business as Managing Director for a large management consultancy, where my teams supported primarily senior executives at global 2000 firms. My passion is creating and learning, and I am intensely interested in understanding all aspects of how businesses work, grow, succeed and fail.
I design and build limited production and one of a kind fine jewelry in gem materials, gold, silver, and platinum. I've been a goldsmith and manufacturing jeweler since 1974 and a retail jeweler since 1980.
I have watched, listened, learned and played the markets for about 25 years. At first my interest reflected a natural curiosity about business, but after legal training I graduated into a more educated and holistic view of the market as a reflection of litigation, law, news, market share, patents, finance, share volume, competition, competent management, philosophy and data.
