  • Yongye International: Why This Stock's Story Is Too Good to Be True [View article]
The timing is quite suspect. The downgrade appeared to be orchestrated to capitalize on the article. Each were based on absurd reasoning. I can't imagine that serious analysts would base their downgrade (or upgrade) on information presented by the company a month earlier. It's scary to think that people actually put their retirement investments with companys who think that kind af analysis is what they charge customers for to "manage" their money. There was ZERO DD performed by either. This was a script paid for by someone who stood to make (or lose less) money by taking advantage of recent headlines.

If you sell out the real short $ that put you up to this, you can very probably reduce your sentence.

  • Interview With Yongye International's CFO [View article]
I'm talking about your disparagement of KPMG's audit as if it means nothing to utilize a firm of that caliber. You want everything proven to you beyond shadow of a doubt, and yet you ignore such solid evidence as nothing. You're better off shorting CGA or CGAC for that matter (they only promise to hire a big 4 accounting firm after their next release) if you want to disbelieve financial results.

  • Yongye International: A Highly Enticing Chinese Stock [View article]
The reason is that poor rural farmers in China have to wait for harvest before paying their bills - including their fertilizer bill. If the ARs don't go down in the winter, you've got a problem.

If God said Yongye was profitable and growing and honest with its numbers, the Mr. Business Economics Analyst would say ... "Well what about Budda and Zeuss?" I hope he is not so desparately short any other companies this strong.
