  • Galena Biopharma: Luck Favors The Unprepared [View article]
Galena is a serious stock with a few major institutional and mutual funds as well as insider and 5%owners backers already. That's a good sign.

I got in at an average price of $1.55; received the RXII stock dividend too (though I don't know what to do with RXII... should have sold it when its shares got adjusted - I think reverse split - and was at $5 or so per share; it's at 2.97 on last trading) ...

Still holding Galena even though it's tempting to take the >10K profit now; I'm thinking that I don't mind the risk of loss for even higher gain. Several of my positions have doubled or on the way to doubling in value ... (we won't mention the few in the red here:-) and am hoping to achieve a 1000% gain on a stock one day - I only start buying stock 3 years ago. This stock is the only stock that I bought in at under $5 and offers a great chance to reach this goal. Higher returns do not come with low risk; that's for sure. I have to make sure that I am able to live with my own decision, come what may. Wishing GALE success in its endeavor to come up with amazing healthcare remedies!

  • Qihoo Vs. Baidu, Which Is The Better Play For China's Online Search? [View article]
Really appreciate your very informative article! Thank you!

My experience within the middle country... if I go through baidu.com to search for what I want, it's faster. If I use Google, it just hangs there for a long time and may not even get to what I need, even via Google HK (Hong Kong) (Sometimes, it works, most of the time, not). I am told that Google is blocked within the main land and to be sure to search via Baidu first. Never used Qihoo before; don't know how to even start using it.

  • Michelle Obama backs the proposed ban in NYC on large-sized soda drinks before issuing a statement later on detailing that she didn't quite mean to enter the debate. At this point the uproar in the Big Apple has taken much of the steam out of any move to adopt any federal framework to limit soda sales, helping analysts keep forecasts in place for a beverage industry powered by the American consumer who drinks a whopping 43.5 gallons of soda a year on average. [View news story]
Are they saying that the American people in NYC are too stupid, too irresponsible to make their own disciplined decision about what, how much and when to (eat and) drink and need the government to dictate what they should and should not buy (eat and drink)?

  • Deconstructing The Bear Case As Amazon Heads To $300 [View article]
I was long AMZN until Friday - wanted to take profit on it (2nd time around) while I can, hoping to get in again when the price is right. I love AMZN, but I am a little concerned with the increasing competition it faces, even from brick and mortal stores (e.g. Walmart). Just bought a PC laptop computer for our kids via Walmart online store yesterday. I always search and search, seeking to buy via Amazon.com first and foremost, but couldn't find the computer to serve my purpose and budget at this time. I found the exact same model via Amazon.com (but only through their market place dealer for $200+ more than what I got via Walmart online store.) Normally, I don't buy computers from Walmart (I am a Mac user), but via their online store, they offer customers more choices and deals than what they offer via their stores. I still have credit via Amazon.com to use. I want AMZN to grow. I have no position in WMT, and hope to be long AMZN again at the right time. Perhaps, I should sell a put option on it in order to get in at a price I'm comfortable with.

  • Galena Biopharma Preparing For A 3-Day Rally? [View article]
Thank you for your articles. Very helpful to the uninformed. I bought shares for our kids and they have enjoyed watching and learning. I told them about the stock dividend. Can't wait for it to show up!

  • 6 Reasons Everyone Should Have Amazon On Their Buy Watch List [View article]
A well-written, well-thought out article. Thank you. People often forget that AMZN is more than just a retails company! I started dabbing in stocks only over a year ago. AMZN is one of the first few stocks I bought and it's been doing well (more than double so far). What's your thought about profit taking, when to take it, etc.? Thanks.

  • China Education Alliance Stock Zigzags Amid Questions of Fact [View article]
I did run with a little loss several weeks ago, and I am glad I did; and will be glad even if the price goes up! This company is not worth your time and even a little of your hard earned cash.
