  • Analyzing Atna And Veris Gold Tolling Agreement  [View article]
I agree with you both, however a lot of it comes down to how well Veris Gold's management negotiated. I know that they have been very anxious to get a tolling agreement in place, so worry that they might have given it away cheap. The fact that the agreement is for only one year struck me as a bit odd and makes me think that one party is thinking that a better deal may come along that they want to be able to pursue.

  • Head and Shoulders Pattern in Gold?  [View article]
While the US obviously has a debt problem, what so many overlook is the vast size of the US economy. The US is far from going broke, and many of you will, no doubt, be surprised when this century turns out to be the "American Century", even more so than the last one.

America dominates the world militarily and economically. Sure we have problems. But our problems are nothing compared to those of China, Japan or Europe. China is an economic house of cards and will likely melt down Japanese-style in the future. Why do think they are freaking out about US QE2? Because they are going to have to revalue their own ridiculously undervalued currency and that's going to crash their exports.

Last, I have rarely heard investors sound so sure of themselves as some of the gold bull comments here. Y'all know what Wall Street does to folks that are sure they're right, right?
