I'm a psychiatrist in my mid-40s. I had always believed that the financial world was too complicated for me. Over the years, when I had dabbled in the market a time or two, I lost money or broke even at best. Unfortunately physicians are often known for questionable financial abilities/decisions, and I was no different! Recently, reading The Greatest Trade Ever and The Big Short, I realized the money people are no smarter than me. I made a decision to educate myself, and luckily ended up on the SA site. After reading about different approaches and styles from many wonderful contributors, I have found that DGI suits my temperament and my goals. I am now learning the details of evaluating fundamentals and working on having patience to build slowly.
