I am an amateur investor interested in holding long term but I maintain a healthy attitude toward speculative stocks. I read as much as time permits and take most of what I hear with a grain of salt. I do my own research and make my own investment decisions. I became interested in investing after the crash of 2008 wherein I lost more than a third of my portfolio because I left it up to someone else to watch my money.
