  • Stay Away from AIG - Barron's  [View article]
when or if we can ever return the stock market to 'investing' rather than its current state of 'casino gambling' for short term wins by traders, we might begin to progress. doubt this will ever happen again though. too bad. this country is in trouble in a lot of ways.

  • Congress' Handling of AIG Bonuses Is Shameful [View article]
I love congress taking action to right a wrong....for a change. By the time it gets lawyered up, it won't happen anyway. We are just not quick enough to right wrongs anymore.
For all out there who think $750,000 is fair, for the poor saps may have trouble finding work, and will need help making the $5,000 monthly mortgage on the 6 bdrm, 5bath cottage........all for shuffling money around, producing nothing, just getting in the middle and getting paid for it...........this is what is wrong with this country.
Once, people actually produced something useful.......now they just want to sit on their butts and punch keyboards to get paid.

  • A More Modest AIG Bonus Proposal [View article]
Anyone of the financial ilk such as yourself....no doubt will think the Constitution is being skirted....etc, etc,....and that we must 'honor' blah blah.

That's right. Lets continue to let the same morally deficient thieves that screwed over the financial system for their own gain continue to enrich themselves, oops its a 'contract'....and believe they'll lose their 'top talent'....and that this is a bad 'precedent'.....and the country will lose its 'honor'......and that 'maybe Liddy could have found a different way'........and jiminee crickets.

The only way to handle this morally deficient greed, is to smite it down. Stop justifying it........and start doing something about it. I applaud this congress.

From someone who knows the bastards that work in this business, and chose to leave it 7 years ago.
