Larry M. Elkin, CPA, CFP®, has provided personal financial and tax counseling to a sophisticated client base since 1986. After six years with Arthur Andersen, where he was a senior manager for personal financial planning and family wealth planning, he founded his own firm in Hastings on Hudson, New York in 1992. That firm grew steadily and became the Palisades Hudson organization, which moved to Scarsdale, New York in 2002. The firm expanded to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2005, and to Atlanta, Georgia, in 2008.
Larry received his B.A. in journalism from the University of Montana in 1978, and his M.B.A. in accounting from New York University in 1986. Larry was a reporter and editor for The Associated Press from 1978 to 1986. He covered government, business and legal affairs for the wire service, with assignments in Helena, Montana; Albany, New York; Washington, D.C.; and New York City’s federal courts in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Larry established the organization’s investment advisory business, which now manages more than $800 million, in 1997. As president of Palisades Hudson, Larry maintains individual professional relationships with many of the firm’s clients, who reside in more than 25 states from Maine to California as well as in several foreign countries. He is the author of Financial Self-Defense for Unmarried Couples (Currency Doubleday, 1995), which was the first comprehensive financial planning guide for unmarried couples. He also is the editor and publisher of Sentinel, a quarterly newsletter on personal financial planning.
I have been trading on the stock market since 1986. With a background in finance and marketing, I ran a highly successful investment advice business in Australia from 1886 to 1998.
After marrying my wife, Amanda, in 1998, I decided to sell my business and make trading my primary source of income. We wanted to travel and live abroad, and trading on the stock market was the perfect way to work from anywhere in the world. All that is needed is a computer and an Internet connection.
I love the freedom and flexibility that comes from trading. There is no need to be tied to an employer or employees, clients, an office or place of work. One can be anywhere and still work, make money and play! I feel that trading is so energizing, with its ups and downs, thrills and spills- as long as the ups and thrills outweigh the downs and spills!!
My focus is on two areas of trading- stock and option trading. By concentrating on these aspects, I have developed a high level of knowledge and expertise.
For a number of years I have been approached by many people wanting me to trade for them. I decided that rather than ‘giving them fish,’ I would teach them to fish so that they could create their own profitable source of independent income.
This was the basis for the creation of the Stock Options Made Easy website....http://www.stock-options-made-easy.com. I wanted to share my knowledge, techniques, and straight-forward methods of explaining options trading with a wider number of people.
My goal is to continue making money doing what I love, and to help others to do the same.

I've been trading part time for 20 years working to develop a strategy that allows me to focus on my day job while investing for today and my retirement. I've been heavily influenced by Mebane Faber's book The Ivy Portfolio. I do not follow Faber's technique directly, but have developed my own relative strength sector rotation strategy that I describe on my blog at http://www.mybestfunds.com. In addition to weekly market trend commentary, I provide weekly rankings of selected Fidelity, Schwab, Profunds, and Vanguard mutual funds and ETFs. The funds are selected and traded so there are no commission or short term trading fees. Fidelity Funds are traded/rotate on a monthly basis while Schwab, Profunds and Vanguard funds trade on a weekly basis.
In the future, I will share more details of my strategy including backtest results, as well as establish model portfolios.

Beginning in 2002 I created three proven and historically backtested intraday trading models, the (XYZ), to trade the S&P 500 Emini futures contract. I graduated from Brown University in 1987 with honors. I also received my MBA from Stern-New York University in 1991. Some of my past work experiences have been as an investment analyst, financial analyst, and equity index portfolio manager. I also am married and have two beautiful children.
Gary Millichip arrived in the United States in 1999 from South Africa via London where he worked for a couple of years. Gary is a South African CPA and works in the reinsurance industry. He is a graduate of the University of KwaZulu Natal - Durban and Unisa.
I'm British, I've travelled widely throughout Europe and Asia (living there now, just like Jim Rogers) and I am retired from my original profession as a software contractor in banking(UK).
I used to trade in Asian stocks for years but pulled everything out in 2007 just before The Great Event, losing nothing. After the financial crisis and much investigations into economics, I decided to watch the clock and spend my time more usefully employed watching the American economy, because this is much more fun. Consequently I've developed a deep interest in geopolitical economic events which have a large effect on the markets, and I also have a natural tendency now to support tangible assets such as silver and gold rather than fiat currency plays. Call me careful if you like, but I really hate casinos...

I am a long and short term trader that has been involved with the stock market for many years. Primarily a technical analyst to trade, I enjoy diving into the microcap stock world looking for hidden gems. I am looking for companies that meet a select criteria of strong management, products either already on the market or possibly "in the pipeline" for biotechs. I never completely finish my due diligence when I discover a company that I like as I will maintain constant contact with a member of upper level management on a regular basis.
