Traffic.com Can't Seem to Make Money (TRFC)

I am not a financial person in any sense of the word, however I am a veteran manager of the Airborne Traffic business with both Shadow Traffic and Clear Channel, and the feedback described above is something I predicted 5 years ago. This business model is extremely flawed, and for reasons too complex to dealve into in this forum. Suffice it to say that at the very basic level, the product stinks! It is akin to contstructing a brick house atop a straw foundation. The information is mainly supplied through automated, public-use civic agencies that typically run about 30-60 minutes behind on their updating frequency, thereby rendering the information old and useless more than 3/4 of the time. And the services sell large volumes of inventory at miniscule margins, with an eye less toward quality and service and more toward "controlling" as much of their competitors airwaves as possible- thereby garnering larger market revenue shares. Either way, the consumer loses, and saavy consumers for the most part caught on to the inefficacy of this "scam" early on. Buyer beware!
