Spent 23 years in the banking industry, primarily in commercial lending and loan review, including numerous management positions. My time in credit and loan review was exciting and highly valued while memories of the S&L crises remained fresh in the conciousness of the banking industry. Unfortunately, memories fade and the industry started on a long path of self-distruction, beginning with the adoption of a "sales culture". Being at least as smart as Ernest, I moved to the sales side and became the top commercial loan originator at every bank I worked at.
During that time, I was fortunate enough to work with the top business people, including various real estate developers, in each community I ...More served. This education became invaluable and was a springboard into a successful stint as a commercial real estate developer and contractor.
My knowledge of the banking industry and serious consideration of the so called fear mongers led me to sell all personal real estate and stock investments in late 2007. I began to re-enter the market in March 2009. Currently, I manage personal investments on a full-time basis and have recently began to invest in real estate on a limited basis. Hold an undergrad in Finance from UW-Madison, MBA from UW-La Crosse, and real estate brokerage license in Minnesota. Located in Rochester, Minnesota the home of the Mayo Clinic.
