    • Casino Stocks Actionable Call Alert [view article]
      LVS is a pig..period !
Sure, every dog has its day, but this dog won't hunt ....
Conditions in Vegas are terrible...Macau is not producing what was thought, and the competition is fierce there...
Anecdotally, the Palazzo (newest LVS hotel in Vegas) is virtually empty and way understaffed due to cutbacks in Vegas employment ...
Does this sound like a bargain stock ???? Hardly !

    • Hansen Natural: Long-Term Stability Overrides Short-Term Fluctuations [view article]
Nice article - Informative ...HANS is just an impossible stock to play ...Just when you think you're rolling, some announcement drives the stock back down to the $30 level ...
Paranoia ? Always had the feeling that somewhere along the line, the US Surgeon General, or FDA will issue warning labels on these "booster" drinks ...If that were to happen, we'll see HANS @ $20 ...Just a hard stock to play and/or figure out ,,,,,,,

A brief, nothing of an article ...Used as filler for some empty space that needed to be filled in .
How very uninteresting, uninformative, and useless.
Those 3 prerequisites apparently meet the Alpha article requirements for publication ..Very high standards indeed !

A really myopic, shallow, argument ...
PBR is Best In Breed ..Is the writer indicating the whole deal is a scam ?
I am quite sure the writer clobbered the stock for shorting reasons..
Because, the article is just too stupid to be real !
And, who the hell is this author ? Nobody !

If Xon is $95, PBR should be $150 ..

    • A Reason To Be Cautious on Visa, Mastercard [view article]
The above comment is superfluous at best, a rant, hence; USELESS
The article is well written but wrong. Take a look at V three years down the road. Compare AXP stock price in the same upcoming time frame ..No contest - V will double or triple, AXP won't .
Simply because this writer is long AXP does not justify the negative bias towards MA and V.

Not very much "meat" in this little column. You might think some fiscal comparisons between V and MC might have been in order .You might think numerous comparisons of these 2 giants might have been at least mentioned ????
Reads like the column was "phoned in" ...Of no particular importance or enlightenment ..Mundane, at best ...
Golly, the cashless society will continue to grow ? What a revelation, Duh !!

    • Buy Opportunity in Gaming Stocks: Reduced Targets, Easier Comparables [view article]
Is this the same guy who keeps touting gaming stocks month after rotten month of declining stock prices?
There is absolutely NO reason to enter the gaming sector at this time.
The writer states a rather weak reason for buying which, inanely is, the numbers are so poor this year, that next year the numbers will look great ! In fact, while the numbers may look better (I don't think
so), what in the hell is exciting about beating weak numbers ?
Las Vegas is the 5th most expensive city in the US to vacation.
Convention business is down 16% ...An enormous hit for Vegas.
Tourist traffic incoming at McCarron airport is down. Room rates are down. Non-gaming revenues are down. Construction expenses are up Costs of borrowing to finance the endless mega-projects are up and harder to finance. The Vegas local economy is a disaster..Gas is close to $4.00 per gallon, killing the California week-enders business.
If the dollar ever seriously strengthens, tourist business will suffer
greatly..Foreigners are basically holding up the paltry numbers now.
We could compose an endless list of reasons for not buying gaming stocks at this time. Long term ? I would guess these stocks are a buy..However,, why tie up your investment dollars for 5 years in a losing scenario, when there are better undervalued plays in the market ?

    • Las Vegas Sands vs. Wynn Resorts: The Great Casino Debate [view article]
A very poorly written article indeed. What the "writer" fails to enlighten the reader on is the very crux of the problem for the casino operators in Macau ; the junket companies that bring the VIP's to the casinos.
These junket companies are so lethal they exact a commission on each VIP gambler that is tantamount to extortion, sometimes ranging in the 40% area !! (Quite a healthy commission indeed ! Especially in light of the fact that the junket companies take no risk, invest not one penny, they just extort commissions. Which, by the way is the foundation for all Macau gambling related ventures; they are all controlled by the Stanley Ho family...Even the ferry to Macau is owned by a Ho family member. Whether covert or overt the Ho family is totally involved in every single facet of the Macau island.
Hence, Stanley Ho and his family aka; den of thieves, simply will not let the American casinos prosper on the level they should. Hence, the analysts are, as usual, wrong.
By the way, this useless article also failed to state the very important fact that ONLY junket companies can extend credit to Chinese gamblers...Hence, a VIP (sucker) MUST book with a junket company in order to get credit extended in the casinos ..Credit, as in life-blood of a casino...
At this time, casino stocks are NOT the place to be....

Gee whiz, do you think that stupid BAC might actually be getting it ?
CFC that cauldron of ethically challenged, worthless managment and scamming employees might actually not be worth associating with, much less paying $4 billions for ?
The horrific debacle precipitated by the banks and brokers virtually decimated the country, thanks to pimps like Mozillo and his horrid company. If BAC cared at all, the bank would walk away from the association with the criminals at CFC .
Is this too tough for BAC to figure out ? Duh !!

Second guessing the Fed is not only superfluous, it's very boring.
" It is what it is". Now, we try to react accordingly.
Besides, if all these boring pundits are so smart, why aren't they on the Fed's Board ? ? This is especially true of Steve Leisman of the wretched CNBC crew. So obnoxious, so pompous, so egotistical. How did the country ever get along without him ? (We would love to try however).
